Damn.... I'm not sure whether my eyes playing trick on me, but I can say that the colors are a bit more vibrant now.

Under Display options, there's a new menu called Reference Levels. You can change it to Standard, Intermediate and Expanded. What do they mean anyways?

As for resolution options, sad to announce that 16:10 resolutions are not in place.

As for content restriction, it seems like it's still not in place yet. Tried downloading some trailers via my US account, everything seems to be working still.

The online marketplace looks so much better now, with more information on screen and better organization.

I have also tried the background downloading, and it works as advertised. I turned the Xbox off (no fan, no sound) and it's still downloading. The middle power light on the Xbox kept on blinking to indicate that it's still doing something.

Oh, one more thing, AVI's still not supported. Sigh...

Thanks. Signed in using my US account and I get the update prompt. I selected yes, and then it disconnected. Guess I better wait for the update to be available on Xbox.com.

Major Nelson claimed that it has been released worldwide. I'm on SG account and mine's updated.

Downloading via Live's pretty safe. It will only update once the download has been completed.

Wha? the update? i downloaded mine from SG account

Hmm weird, the update prompt was only available on my US account and wasnt on my SG account

Stupid la..Cant change my hotmail..Oh well..Not using messenger thn..

For some reason, I didn't get the update prompt when I signed in using my Singapore account.

It's not like I'm worried about bricked console due to unsuccessful download, but rather the matter of convenience. The connection here is pretty bad that I got "couldn't download update" error every few seconds, resulting me have to re-sign in to get the update prompt again, and continue downloading the update.

If I download the update on my PC, at least I can use download manager.

Whoa! Am excited about the Reference levels thing. Who knows what's it for?

The download from the website is around 6 megs. I guess it's around that size from Live too.

Took me like 5 minutes to complete the whole thing.... when will it be available on the website anyways?

From my TV, reference level seems to affect the darkness and contrast. Maybe it's just me.

Done! Update was downloaded and patched in less than 10min... now time to explore!
