Just activate your recovery partition or boot from HP recovery discs if you had it burnt some time ago.

Isn't your 6126tx preinstalled with Media Center, is it? The recovery discs have all the necessary stuff and together with preinstalled windows. No need to reformat and reinstall windows.

After all, the notebook will revert back to factory-state after you do recovery.

is it possible tp update the version of QuickPlay? Latest model comes with higher version, feel like want to upgrade mine.

I sent once only to change DVD burner. Now there is one dead pixel on the screen aww!!! Should I get it changed......?

This lappy is still popular. But none of them spam here. lol.
I am trying the hackintosh soon. Now still playing with Ubuntu 7.10.

Anyway, TS has been successfully installed Ubuntu 7.10 and have everything running fine. Maybe he can give some comment.

Wow, this thread still exist after 1.5 years. I was one of the early user here. Great lappy for me. I shut down few times a week only. Now still going strong after 1.5 years. Heat is there but I've used to it.

Wow, surprise to see this thread still exist. I faced problem on the optical drive and got it changed with a Optirac brand one. No problem so far.
Heat mainly from hard disk on the left palm rest area. So far so good for a 2 year 6126TX.
