Just plagiat uber. Eventhough press arrival confirmation early, automatic countdown timer wont start until car is within 15 metre from rider gps coordinate.
*
uber also not 100% accurate one. sometime when you drive pass the pick up point but at the other side of the road, which you still need to make a turn, the 5 mins countdown already starts. and by the time you reach the pick up point, it already show "you allowed to cancel this trip". Normally i would still wait for another 5 mins more before cancelling.
But for the pick up pin at metropolitan square damansara perdana, the count down won't starts at block A even you are at the condo lobby. so you die die must wait until the bugger come down.

*
From SS15 to Tropicana Golf Club using non toll road should be around 14 km as well. how could it possible to become 22km?

I read Grab driver rules, got a sentence " in GPS WE TRUST "
today one untie asked d her husband  two to three times about what route  I was using  when she saw I drove through TOLL 2 times,
I said I follow GPS which is recognised  by Grab app ,and told them it was Grab Policy  saying IN GPS WE TRUST to avoid jam cause my unpredictable car accident and  FLOOD  biggrin.gif

If these cheapskates don't accept this term I will cancel the ride infront of them. No point after completing  the trip surely I  will get ONE STAR RATING. ; (
*
Grab should copy uber to include toll in the fare. so the rider will not have to worry how many toll to go through and driver will be happy to choose the fastest way. sometime i feel hesitance if i should ask the riders if they wanna use toll road. if i ask, they would think that there are other alternative route to use without toll but i don't use. Normally i would just ask if they have their preferred route to use to reach their destination. usually they would just no and i will say i follow the navi for the fastest way and it may incur toll charges.

I kana before. was at Taylor's lakeside campus and got ping at sri anggerik 2 puchong ( which is less than 5KM ) BUT I have to pay RM2.10 toll in order to pick up the customer who want to go to IOI Mall puchong ( 4KM journey which is less than rm8 IIRC )

haiyoh.wasted 1 AR
*
Taylor's lakeside campus indeed a dangerous place to be... if you are lucky, you would definitely get a ping from the same area. If not you would certainly get a ping from the other side. It happened to me b4, 3 pings in a roll and all from puchong... zefer hill residence, sri anggerik and taman tenanga... all going ioi mall. I had to swipe unavailable after the 3rd ping.

Ping from Taylor is still ok if you are around sunway medical or monash... though it's about 3-4km but you don't have to pass through toll.

i tried doing incentive this week and failed miserably. On the first day, Monday, when I started at 8am, 7pings in a roll came in with high fare. Ignored all and the AR dropped to about 20% on that day. It was no hope to recuperate after the 7th ping, so i just did flexi straight away.
Yesterday, Friday started at 11am and the AR still manageable until 3 pm... was about 75%.
11am - 2
12pm - 3
1pm- 3
2pm 3
Then got a ping from evolve concept mall to M-city mall with high fare. RM52. Took about 45mins. After that all hell broke loose. All sorts of unfavorable pings came in, many 5 km pick up, high price grabshare, multi stops, B2B 15 mins before dropping of the first rider and klia. The AR dropped to 60% and 4 cancellations (2 by riders) by 5pm and felt tired. So just went home with another failed day.
Really feel stressed to do HG with daily refresh AR. Will tried another week, next week, to see if HG is my cup of tea or should just do Flexi.

You need to find a good area to do HG. RM52 for 45 minutes not bad ma.
Sunway and Subang Jaya should be a good area for HG gua... but I guess it was the timing... 8 am a lot of ppl going to work in KL or Shah Alam. High Fare though but must endure the jam. RM52 for 29km indeed not bad.
If your AR already 75% maybe you shouldn't ignore anymore jobs. Just bite the bullet and save your incentives for previous hours. Unless you kena non stop jobs asking to go out of your city or state. Then u go drive your car into Jaya One lo.. (jk)
*
Thought that just took the RM52 trip and did a few more trips to increase back the AR to 80% but who knows.... bangwall.gif
My car is too small to have any impact in Jaya One. Would consider a truck though biggrin.gif

should be location problem then ?

can just go offline if on not good places , wont cost you much , maybe per min . around rm0.30sen 10min = rm3 < incentive i mean.

yes , i found that friday night were worst for incentive , maybe all the people after dinner etc , want to go back their place. ( same for me friday )

morning were good.

ping ignore per day should be 5 , after 5 you should no ignore except you completed near 20trip , else 20trips per day were quite max. for 10 hour.

those 30trip were all short trip and lucky/pro
*
Don't think it was location problem. I guess it was luck. Yes, sometimes i did go offline to sacrifice the remaining minutes ( even 15mins) in to the block.

Bro, this is what I did, accept whatever job morning and afternoon(except KLIA), save enough bullet to play on evening session.  I always think morning traffic way better than evening.

If the Highfare job can covered that particular hour, just take it. I also kena yesterday.. 5.01pm got a job from One U to hartamas,RM14,  took 15 mins to got there,  then ping from Mont kiara to Subang Airport RM54, took me 45 mins.. 5pm block I got 68, even higher than incentive could give.

Yesterday was a bad day due to boycott thingy , unusual bad jam.. but I still manage to get 420+ gross (290fare collect, 130incentive) with 10hrs drive.

Yesterday started 11 am and wanted to end around 5pm to avoid the evening jam... but too many unfavorable pings to ignore after 3pm.

Then you should stop driving before the daily AR drop below 80%.

It happen to me on Thursday, start 10am, save enough 5 ignore bullet by 4pm, then Teh tarik rest and ready for 5pm block, too bad many long trip ping came in and finished use all my bullet in one hour, then calculate incentive only 40+.. I decided go back home to rest. Give up the 6pm and 7pm block. Total earning about 210gross.. what a bad day..
*
How to stop...? By 1pm the AR already dropped below 80%. At amcorp mall around lunch time also can get a ping from bangsar south... and the jam at federal highway during that hour was terrible... how to accept? bangwall.gif

Weird. How come that far...
I remember I get ping from UM dentistry from bangsar south.
*
it's about 5km away... if no jam maybe 10-15mins can reach liao. But saw the jam at federal highway yesterday noon time... really scared to accept the ping... and the ride was to mid valley... lagi scare. I guess it was raining and not enough driver yesterday so the ping request went haywire. bangwall.gif

Accept je.. then call rider to inform ETA time, most of them would not wait and cancel. You untung a bullet..
I always addin 2-3mins buffer time based on the GPS ETA .

Normally my AR still remains 100% by 5pm if no KLIA job came in.
*
As you said most of them would cancel but there were some didn't want to cancel and die die wanna wait for you... especially during that time that no driver around their area. Yesterday I tried that also and had 4 cancellations. 2 from pax and 2 from dax. The 2 riders asked my permission if they can cancel and the other 2 just couldn't reach them by call and msg also no reply... had to cancelled myself. My CR was 10% at that time... so didn't dare to cancel anymore. My CR now stands 9.6%... not sure if the warning is coming next week. Really hate those no show CCBK... called them no answer and msg them no reply... waited 7-8 min then had to cancel yourself. ranting.gif

Actually i have 2nd phone for ublur but I just don't feel like doing ublur until they shows the drop off location and their crazy upfront fare. There were too many times that 1 kena far pick up point and short distance rides, after driving for more than 6 hours and felt tired, wanted to call it a day but the ping came in sent you to places far away from home like kajang, pulau indah and penang. bangwall.gif Well it's not nice to tell the riders you are not going after you swipe start journey. Too many times i had to come back empty car and paid toll after the trip.

I normally will call cs to inform no response from pax and the ETA to pickup point more than 10mins, cs will advise cancel the job with *pax no show* , take note the CS name as your own reference. Some cs not believe that, you may required cs contact pax to proov no response.

If the pax die die want you , then just go fetch them, THIS is our job. Stuck in the terrible traffic which is  job required..Else just don't drive during the peak.. still, good or bad day , just another day to me, same old shit , different day..
*
If they die die want me, i would die die go one. I would see how they reply. If they reply OK. no problem. I would just go. But some would just ask why so long. I would definitely cancel to avoid affecting my rating. That's why I said I didn't want to accept the ping from far pick up point to hope to cancel later like suggested by the other to build up the bullet.

Y no use Set Destination feature?

Find it's useless. eg. when i was at SS2 and set the home destination to go home in Subang Jaya, the ping came in and sent you to 1 utama. I did set from kajang or pulau indah to go home but no ping came in... maybe you won't get any ping when you are travelling on highway.

SS2 to 1U depending on which side of SS2 is not too bad if LDP not jam. 5 mins if from DJ u-turn side and drive F1 style. whistling.gif
bro, the app showed the pickup distance? I find if you stay in KL city area much higher chance to kena fake ping. Maybe those CBK drivers camp there and use fake GPS spoof to give us those ridiculous pings.

Like today I started at 4pm from around Tugu Negara. first two pings came from Jln TAR and Sogo...both accepted but both also immediately cancelled by pax. not sure if it was fake ping or not. THe username was like "iPhone"....
*
We talked about ublur's set destination function... as i set to go home from SS2, to subang jaya but it sent you to 1U. pretty useless.

I got a rider yesterday with the username " iphone" as well... genuine rider though. biggrin.gif

*
No. actually the ping received was in SS2, when about to head out LDP heading to Sunway direction. The pick up at McD and drop off at 1U. Maybe they thought I could complete the trip first before heading home using NKVE instead of LDP. bangwall.gif

Wtf..600 meter..,that day weather was good and not hot. the pickup point and destination place at the same road, straight road.. just next block of the condo..wtf..I am able to craw 600m even get drunk..

Since then, I just stop driving Uber til now..
*
Ya true.... happened to me too... too many times... was at sungai penchala and ping from Sri hartamas/mont kiara. at taylor lakeside and ping from puchong... all have to pay toll b4 pick up and all just short distance RM5 ride.
That's why I ditch ublur until now too... not keen to drive for them until they show pick up and drop off location
