For registering Fomema, what should I select for employer type ? Individual Employers or Maid Online Employers? My one is existing maid, fourth year to fifth year now.

I try register..ended up not sure which to choose
So...i go to Fomema Kg attap.
Do Manually..

Rm190 is the cost....but PB to PB transfer or CIMB Click or
Kiriman Wang....So go to Pos Office DayaBumi but parked at Central Market..
Then fill the form and choose your clinic from The list show from the Computer..
You go use the computer and search which clinic.

Then submit....that all.

No, cannot. After trying to DIY, the embassy official told me flat out that must go through an agent. Your maid will need a permission letter from the embassy and something done in their overseas worker system. The embassy will only accept application through one of the "authorised agents". IMHO, it is likely a little scam that they have going on with the local agents. If you don't do this step, then your maid may have issues when she tries to leave Philippines to return to work in Malaysia.

didn't the government announce in budget 2 years ago that we can directly hire maids without going through agents? so that never happened huh?

This is my experience recently.

Malaysia side to get Malaysia work visa can be done without agent. However, the maid still needs to show some approvals from the Philippine side before the maid is allowed to leave their country. Such approvals from Philippine side cannot be obtained directly without going through agent. So if the maid agrees to stay on without home visit, then no problem. Can get Malaysia work visa renewed directly and immigration will not catch her as she will be here with a proper valid visa.

Last year renewed my maid permit for her 9th year. I put it in writing so I don't forget about it

Steps to Renew Maid Permit

I'm doing my second year renewal, your blog provided me a good head start.

For maid ikad, I was told by Imigresen that they no longer issue ikad. My maid 1st year work permit was approved in Oct 2018.

Do you have any idea how long does it take to renew maid's indo passport and does Majikan need to present together with the maid?

Document down my maid 2nd year Pas Lawatan Kerja Sementara (PLKS) renewal processes for future reference.

Part 1 : Fomema
1) Check maid's passport expiry date. Passport expiry date must be after the new PLKS expiry date.
2) if passport expiry date is before the new PLKS expiry date and you are running short of time, you can proceed with Fomema medical exam first and update the new passport details at Fomema once new passport done.
3) Login to Fomema with your employer code and password.
4) Click Start and highlight the maid name in the worker's list > Type in Description eg Maid 2nd yr renewal > click next step.
5) Highlight maid's name > Search and select your prefered Clinic > click continue registration.
6) Select payment method > Select prefered bank > click continue registration
7) Click YES to submission confirmation > Click to pay
8) Follow FPX instruction to pay.
9) Print out the tax invoice and print out medical examination form by clicking on ' Trans ID'
10) Bring the maid to the clinic.

Part 2 : Passport renewal.
1) Make sure that your maid's salary must be min RM1100 or more.
2) Make sure that your main is entitled to 1 weekly off day or RM169/mth in lieu of off days.
3) If the above min pay and off days requirements are not met, the maid might have problem getting her passport renewed.
4) Go to Indonesian embassy before 5am coz q number starts giving out around 5.30am.
5) 5 years passport validity cost RM100.
6) Within a week, the new passport will be mailed to the POS office nearest to employer's address.
7) Your maid can then collect the passport at the POS office with the receipt given during renewal application.

Part 3 : MyEg
1) Register account at MyEg portal.
2) Fill up the online form and pay RM610 online.
3) You have two delivery options for PLKS sticker I.e. delivered to home or self collection at MyEg KL.
4) Turnaround time about 1 to 2 weeks.
5) You can also apply and pay the PLKS at any MyEg branches and opt for deliver to home or self collect at your local MyEg branch.

I am having issue here with my agency. my maid is new (well not so new) we paid all the fees in full when we hired the maid through this agency. But it has been 1 year since she started (maid is really good btw), agency still did not give me her passport & visa. She went for fomema twice already, now agency telling me her passport expiring need to renew first, but keep on delaying this and that. everyday there's a new excuse. I am so stressed, no idea what to do, so hard to travel since I only have her passport copy.

Mind to share which agency is this?

Supposingly they need to give u passport when they send the maid to u.. ur maid got valid permit?

I'm afraid you got conned. Try tell them you need to bring the maid for travelling, ask them to hand over the passport. If they refuse, I think they already songlap the money and didnt apply anything for your maid.
