u must register at fomema first, pay to fomema, then do the medical checkup (no need to pay anymore). Repeat the same thing every 2 years.

Ur fomema must shown Suitable only can proceed for permit renewal.. else, ur permit won’t approve. Better do it at least 1 month b4 the permit due.

Yes, employer need to go to update at immigration.
Else, u can get agent to do for u if u can’t go.. coz I also pass it to agent to renew permit for my maid.. as some case only putrajaya can do.. coz putrajaya immigration has Myeg next to it..

What if the employer is an OKU?

Guess the employer can authorize someone to go to immigration to update on behalf with the his authorization letter.. or save the hassle, get agent to do for u..just pay extra RM200+ service fee to agent

If yes, u need to go to Putrajaya Immigration to update the new passport into the system n go to next door, myeg office to renew permit.

Yes, u just need to make sure the fomema is pass then can renew permit online via myeg. Myeg will get despatch to deliver the permit to employer, the maid passport must be available to let myeg staff to stick on it when they come to u. It must send to employer, else employer need to authorise someone if employer not at home.

Is your maid from Philippines or Indonesia? My maid is from Philippines. Her initial 2 year contract is expiring next month and I have already completed the procedures to renew her Malaysian work permit. I have agreed to let her go back for one month. Did you allow your maid to go back for holiday at the end of her initial contract?

I would like to know if I have to do any other procedures before she goes back for a one month break? The Philippines embassy website is not very clear. There is a webpage referring to a POEA employment contract, insurance, notarized affidavit of undertaking, etc. However, it is not clear whether these are needed in my situation. I am concerned that my maid may have trouble clearing immigration in Manila.
