Not really. To LUNO you will just be transferring from your own account in a VASP to your luno account. If it is a registered VASP, Luno will not ask for verification since it can get the transfer details from the VASP. So you can dump all your transfers from any personal wallet to that VASP and then transfer to LUNO.

Better stop using LUNO unless you want all your funds to be freeze in LUNO. Now incoming transaction they need detailed information such as sender’s address, nationality, name, etc otherwise they won’t release the transaction.

Let's say if I made huge profits from selling NFT on OpenSea, can I transfer to Luno and cash out to MYR from there?
If they ask for the detailed information, I'll just provide my own info since I'm the seller, who made profits through selling NFT (which I suppose is a legal activity).

Buyer could be anyone who is willing to pay for my NFT wink.gif

Hello,

My name is Ross and I'm the Community & Education Lead for Luno MY.

To answer your question, you can definitely send your NFT sale profits into Luno and then cash out into MYR.
No issues smile.gif

Just ensure you send your crypto using the correct network
Example: if you are sending ETH to Luno be sure to use the Ethereum (ERC20 network)

Luno will only ask information from which wallet you sent from
Example: if you sent the ETH from your MetaMask account just choose the option "private" wallet and paste your MetaMask address and type the word "MetaMask"

Hello Jack

My name is Ross and I'm the Community & Education Lead for Luno Malaysia.

VASP stands for = Virtual Asset Service Provider

A simpler way of putting this is = any platform that offers virtual assets (crypto)

Luno is a VASP, as are all other crypto exchanges too

There is a new rule we are required to follow called the Travel Rule.
This rule is already used in the banking industry we are just adapting to it for crypto too

If you'd like to read more about it just go to Google and type "The “Travel Rule” and what Luno is doing about it" and the first link that appears should lead you to our website with more info about it

(Sadly lowyat won't let me put the URL link here)

And if you have any other questions feel free to ask smile.gif

Hello, this is currently untrue at the time of writing.

This may change in the future but for the time being Luno Malaysia does not currently freeze any users funds for the reasons you mentioned above.

However, we do strongly encourage all our users to declare the information required when receiving/sending crypto.
This is a requirement under the Travel Rule which is being instituted by our regulators.

Should anything change in the future, we will inform our customers and do join our Facebook group Luno Malaysia Community (Official)
as I post a lot of updates there, and you can ask questions too smile.gif

Hi,

Can someone please shed light on Luno Malaysia's reputation among Malaysian bitcoin traders? I'd like to hear out your reviews, thoughts, and experience dealing with Luno Malaysia before using it to trade large amount of money.

Thanks

Quite good, I guess. It is like the default for beginners since Binance is banned in Malaysia.

Luno even ask if you have bank loan, car loan, personal loan or not when I want to sell my coin. What is that all about?
