if that's your concern then should be no problem.
i'm speaking in behalf of the goal of this technology, anonymity and decentralization.
supporting this means dropping the idea of bitcoin and other crypto itself. which i'm depressed about.
*
frankly that goal of anonymity will never work today. just so you know it is a worldwide government decision to curb the potential money laundering and terrorist financing activities by demanding various parties to monitor the movement of money all over the world. if there is no such already agreed worldwide goal, even normal bank could have let you transfer money anonymously by not requiring your IC before you can open account. the reason they have to, is because of the stated worldwide decision. and if you can open account anonymously in any bank, you don't even need crypto to transfer money anonymously. therefore, a technology stated goal is to intentionally bypass this will always be targeted, sooner or later.

i know a lot of you think this is stupid, as there are crypto other than bitcoin which has done even better to become truly anonymous. and a big fck you to all the world governments for trying to control your freedom. well, i think it is only a matter of time before those other technologies are targeted as well. usually they will target the proxy supporting services or architecture to render it ineffective. no doubt there will always be other people coming up with even new things trying to bypass the monitoring, and there will always be counter being created to target those new technology as well. it is always a cat and mouse game.

by the way, there is no laws against decentralization, that is actually ok.

As far as we're concerned, we have always been transparent and played by the rules with authorities and the bank. Hence, it is very frustrating for us as well. sad.gif
We will continue to chase for this with Maybank. However, as per our latest status message -- we are also talking to other banks in parallel.
Hi wildan,

Yes, as per our latest status message, we are already talking to other banks in parallel. It would be great if we had multiple bank accounts to transfer as you mentioned. However as this is a really new industry (and perhaps the banks are very cautious too), it is taking a while. Thanks a lot for the suggestion.
All customer funds remain safe in the Maybank account. We would never do something like this. (Actually hypothetically speaking, Malaysia has strict capital controls so even another foreign company who might want to do this wouldn't be able to.)
Hi Eric, we just received your email response on Wednesday. Hence are working on it right now. Thanks.

Frankly speaking, I do not think Luno submitted tax submissions and annual returns to IRB and ROC for several years.

We can buy the annual return report from ROC and noted that the status of the company is still under dormant.

Spend RM20 to buy it yourself la.

I think they're facing issue with "tax fine" or some "untold stories", and fooling with us with repetitive updates that literally means nothing at all?

only they know, he knows.. haha...

but 3 months Maybank suspended the bank account.... I don't think it is related to KYC if they have prepared such.

101% related to tax compliance issue that they did not submit the tax returns for several years.

Localbitcoins and Remitano doesn't support buying and selling ripple. Anyone knows how can I buy Ripple in MYR?

The reason I wanted to use XRP is because their fees are very low as compared to BTC and ETH.

I got some ripple ..but price is abit on low.now..

How many do you have?
But it is a bit hard without a trusted middle man. I would prefer a middle man like Remitano.
