TM just called me for the free upgrade 50 to 100mbps, but their technician can only come to my home early september. Wonder if TM auto upgrade to 100Mbps after they called, or still need to wait for technician to upgrade?

So, they will upgrade the speed prior coming to my house or only upgrade the speed after they change the equipment?

I'm using Archer C7, i believe capable of handling 100Mbps. At office now, cant test if got any speed upgrade 

What router did they give you? Tplink Archer C5?

September finish already, yet, I havent receive my speed upgrade from 50 to 100Mbps. Currently reside in Seri Kembangan.

I just chat with tm live chat, and the agent confirms that I will receive the speed upgrade by end of this month.

I have played around the setting like location etc with my VPN. And the best download I could get was 18 mbps on an Unifi 50 mbps line. On AES-256. Set on Asus AC68U router.

I am just wondering what others are getting or to be more correct, how much % reduction in speed with their vpn.

You are absolutely correct. Singapore's server gives best result but it can't be used for P2P.

Which Asian country server you think is as good or better than Singapore's? Vietnam? Thailand? Or which vpn would you recommend?

I do realize speed will take a hit with router vpn but a 65% hit?

On vpnarea, Hong Kong/Korea/Japan speed is not good bad. May be I will check out IPVanish. Which IPVanish server? Thanks

Just now call to TM, ask my service no is eligible to bonanza plus, then she said my package is already max speed... I was like WTF

All customer who got the free upgrade from 50-100mbps  (TM surprise) start to bising already.

Honestly, TM did a bad move when launching this bonanza plus only for the chosen customer.

100mbps (RM299) + Ruby pack 2 (Rm40) + (-RM100) = RM253 with GST

Customer are bising because of this :

RM253 - RM189+6% = RM53, it not fair, why I need pay more RM50 where other customers can get this promotion.

Well, TM is never fair in their pricing. Some get good deals while some don't. I don't agree on their pricing as well, they should have fixed plans, easy for them, easy for us.

However, they rather come out with different plans and handle people's complaints.

Yes, we also have Android box. Overwhelmed with too many things to watch, sometimes.

Even my sister WhatsApp-ed and asked me what can she do with such high speed? Even five devices stream Full HD at the same time have no issue now though only 50Mbps. I told her better faster than slower and technology keeps moving every day, you may need it next time.
