QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Nov 9 2017, 08:30 PM)
They specifically said this is a address limit within TM system, not an area port limit (and my area lots of old people, don't think that many unifi customers, I also don't experience night congestion like I do in my parents area with a younger demographic). The CS showed me on his screen that it showed my address only support one account.

The TMPoint recommendation was to go to a 'TMPoint Center' which they claim is able to authorize more ports for my address.
Ports are installed based on request
Just because your area only has old people, doesn't mean there will be more ports available there
Maybe there's only 5 ports in your lane

Yes, TM Center can authorize more ports, but that will only happen if there are enough request for it
They won't add more ports just for 1 customer. And when they're adding new ports, they won't just add 1, but in a bulk of 5 / 10 / 20

So is Unifi all shows and no substance?
Nope. I'm getting full speed for the 50Mb/s on both LAN and wireless
QUOTE(touristking @ Oct 4 2017, 10:30 AM)
I have a higher end router set as the main router for Unifi
What router is that? hmm.gif

So to be clear, I can get 100Mb/s for only RM189 (before GST)? blink.gif

QUOTE(Chrono-Trigger @ Nov 18 2017, 10:31 AM)
excitement aside, do you really need 100mbps lol?

Even for 50mbps, I think it's an overkill for family of 4, assuming each person uses about 10mbps for youtube streaming
I'm using 50Mb/s just for myself, no one else in the house and upgraded to 100Mb/s a few seconds ago

It's not about being enough or not, but it's about making the internet ready for future usage that requires higher speed

The easiest way to explain is by downloading a 50GB game from Steam but at half the time required to download it
QUOTE(OKLY @ Nov 18 2017, 10:40 AM)
So if we did not receive any SMS, can still try luck and call in to request?
Yes
I just finished the call. Confirmed 5 times with the agent that I only need to pay RM189 for 100Mb/s

1. Call 100
2. Choose 2 for english
3. Choose 4 for promotions
4. Choose 2 for UniFi

And immediately tell them you want to upgrade your UniFi

Remember to record the ticket number and the agent name before you finish the call thumbsup.gif

Do you guys think it's a good deal?
Just terminate your current UniFi and re-register
This way you're saving RM20 instead of getting the RM159

You'll be out of internet in only a few days, 1 week max

but now a bit worry later TM will tell me no more port available when I want to install. 🤔
You just answered your own question

Just install now, later if the port is finished, you'll have to wait for years for TM to come and install extra ports

I see, just wondering does the new modem given by TM, if plug the LAN cable on it can get internet access or not?
No
QUOTE(AlexisStarZ @ Nov 23 2017, 08:24 PM)
as that HG850A plugged in no internet access, else have to buy LAN splitter as my router only got 4 gigabit ethernet port laugh.gif
Not splitter. But Ethernet Switch
Gigabit Switch (1Gb/s) is really cheap, you can get 5 ports for less than RM50

Wonder what takes them so long just to do an upgrade.😠
Yeah, regret not going directly to TMPoint instead since everyone who goes to the TMPoint for the upgrade got their line upgraded in only 2 hours

They just started the process
So weird how TM waited for the very last minute before they start the damn process
QUOTE(yeelong @ Nov 24 2017, 04:59 PM)
where can find this page to check on the process?

hi all, want ask about the phone number question.

If apply unifi, can I use current fix phone number?
If cancel the unifi in future, can the unifi number back to fix line?
It's faster and easier to get the answers to those question by calling 100

Just installed unifi 30mb. Received ZTE router modem. Tried speed test in between 10 to 20mb only now. Is it normal?
Did you test using Wireless or using ethernet cable?
If you run the test on wireless, test again using ethernet cable with your laptop connected directly to the router
