I jz went to TM Point in PJ state. The lady say cannot "upgrade" my VIP10.
and die die insist me upgrade to 30mbps rm159.       

just complete unifi install.  very simple setup.    but i need to pay rm300 for the fiber to pull into house.

fiber wiring from green box to wall socket ...  20meters.

coz he said their is no default pathway for fibre to house.    only free fiber from green box to TNB meter box.  then from TNB meter box. need lay fiber on the floor.  that one consider optional already.

he said standard installation meaning.  the fiber cabling already build in during construction of house.   those didnt build in 1,   need to pay for the fiber cable laying works.

just like telephone line.   if house already have telephone port.  then standard installation is free  just plug and play the devices.

but if no telephone like build in.   then need to pay for laying telephone cable from pole to house.

20 mins ago called 100 to see if I can get the upgrade done over the phone. Lazy as usual to go out.
Anyway, RM10 100mbps upgrade done. (from RM179 TQ Suprise 50mbps)
Breakdown is:
100mbps 299 + Existing Ruby 30 + Jumbo 60 = 389 less discount 200 = RM189
STD20 remains. 600mins to TM & OLNO landlines and all mobile. After 600min, free to TM landlines, others are chargeable.
Contract renewal 2 yrs.
Equipment warranty 1 yr.
Terminating Jumbo Pack or STD20 will remove discount.
Must have at least one HyppTV package.
Upgrade will take 7 working days.

Nice & friendly CS lady, when I asked, mentioned that the discount will remain after 2 yrs but I don't recall anything in the TnC that she read to me, that neither confirms nor contradicts that.

very unlikely unless u are staying in high rise. it is certainly safer to assume nothing new will be available by then.

my rm10 upgrade have extra free call package + jumbo.
For those that didnt get sms, can just call 100. they didnt ask me about any sms. just ask my phone number & then they check it.

Have not clarified but shouldn’t be too big of a deal if I’ll be using the HyppTV.

But logically speaking:

100mbps (RM299) + Ruby (RM30) + Jumbo (RM60) - RM200 = RM189

The discount of RM200 is perpetual so I don’t see what’s the issue here? They are still charging the RM60 for Jumbo every month, just the RM200 discount is making the total monthly fee to be RM189.

Which is why they do not allow to cancel the Jumbo or STD20, otherwise the RM200 discount will be taken away.

Unless I’m understanding things differently here..

I got 'upgraded' from RM149 (free upgrade to 10) to RM139 bonanza with renew 2 years contract direct from TMPoint. My parents also same. This was before Bonanza Plus came out, so I suspect that's the reason.

I thought the RM139 30Mbps unifi is inclusive with hypptv? Yes rm139 is inclusive of STANDARD hypptv plan.
The TM point never tell me about the hypptv fees, he just said total is RM139/month

Doing rm10 upgrade from Unifi Lite with ruby pack. CS said will get 30mbps + Jumbo pack + STB. No more ruby and cordless phone.

for existing users who upgrade say, Unifi Lite 10mbps to Unifi Advanced 30mbps for additional RM10/month, do u all get dect phone + hypp tv?
