already called, went to one tm point.
not doing anything anymore.
100mbps is nice but 50mbps is fine for my usage.
i'm in 2nd class, not as bad as those in 3rd class.
but will watch and see how all this will unfold.

unifi 50mbps
rm169+gst
hypptv megapack
no free calls
old equipment
out of contract

i had called 100 2-3 weeks ago, was not entertained, told not eligible.
went to tmpoint, told no such promotion.
never did live chat.

i called 100 again this morning... just to try my luck.

this time, the staff was helpful.
he called back when the line was cut.
was told "can"!!

can tell he recorded everything to make it a valid contract.
he read all the terms&conditions and then ask "do you agree, yes or no?"!
i also asked him questions and made sure he answered for the recording.

results:
+rm10 = rm179+gst
100mbps
600min free calls
jumbo pack (had to give up megapack)
all existing equipment warranty renewed 1 yr
prices and discounts remain same after 24 months.
they will check, if any equipment need to replace, technician will come
7 working days to complete.
given SR no.

so, there u go... my story part 1.
part 2... will see next 7 working days...

i remember reading someone said in the terms/conditions, it is stated speed will reduce during stipulated hours every day - not sure if correct or not..

maxis, on the other hand, proclaims and practice a fair usage policy, i.e. if u download too much, they will throttle u.



so, for heavy users... unifi is unbeatable.

TM is Responsible for everything up to and incl the btu, i.e. modem.

It is their job to maintain it, unless u modified it.

So called tm techncian is likely a contractor, may be pulling fast one on u.

Likely u get no receipt if u go ahead.

Better call 100 or go tm point and clarify first.

from yr exp and mine and a couple others i know, they seem to have relaxed this SMS requirement as 31 dec nears.

so, those who fail should keep calling now!


when u were on the phone, u shud hv been told it involves a new 24 mth contract.

with that, it carries a new 1 yr warranty for dect phone, router and hyypbox.

any of them verified faulty by technician will be replaced foc.

do bring this up when the technician contact u.

i m trying to get my ice age hyppbox changed.

still waiting, hopefully all done this week.

if the bill is not showing the right charges and discounts, it usually means sales dept and the billing dept are not talking to each other.

one does one thing, the other does another.

i remember the guy on the phone said to me:

"299+60-180=179"

299 is supposedly the 100mbps list price at this time.
60 is jumbo (nothing else).
180 is total discount.

i would expect my future bill to show that.
