Hi sifus,

Recently there is lot of advertisement about "Omni Beyond 2 inches full range speaker" which claimed can provide well- tune mid, treble and bass.

Doesn't been listen the sound in real life but seems like not too bad in videos.

The reference link is as below.
https://www.facebook.com/OmniBeyondTrading/

Im driving honda city 2009 and doesn't want to do that kind of complicated wire cutting and speaker changing.

Thus, might need any kind-soul to provide your comment if you're using or looking into it. .

a 2" full range can make your staging more "presented" at your sitting height with it's ability to produce lower frequency than a common tweeter. But there's also a considerations on oem power source.

A good full range speaker will need minimum 30W to 60W even it's a 2" driver.

If you were to only upgrade to the 2" full range driver with pnp install, you are gonna messed with your midbass which will be producing the same range of frequency with the 2". so ended up, "minor upgrade".

A proper 2" upgrade will included a low pass filter for the mid bass, on door mostly.

This will seperated the diff freq needed for each driver and it make the sounds proper.

SO you still have to rely on other 6" speakers in the car? This 2" is quite interesting as I'm rebuilding my '78 Mini which was as original with no sound system. I was thinking of making a box at the footwell to put a 6.5, but I'm having lots of 2ndd thoughts as they do take up space. In the Mini, speakers on the door is not an option.

So was thinking of using these plus an active sub. Most times, I listen to the engine, but it would be nice to have some sound.

May I know how do you drive the speaker? Direct from oem head unit or do you use crossover from amp or dsp?

I have a pair of Omni beyond 2” speaker lying in room currently, upgraded to component 2 way system, thinking of adding this Omni 2” full range as a mid to handle 500hz to 5000h. Thinking of convert to 3 way system. Is it workable ? Appreciated for your advise.

Why the Top Palace so expensive? Worth it?

If I want to install the omni speaker to my Head Unit(no amp, 4x stock woofer), what's the best way(practical way) to install omni beyond speaker?
1) tapping the rear speaker wiring in series?
2) disconnect the rear speaker for omni beyond to get full rear power?
3) Adding the low/high pass filter?
