we didn't play cause them bloody organizers didn't have equipment. . .

they told us at the start that everything is provided. . . (a week back)

today at 430pm (gig at 8) when we were about to go in and jam for an hour just to warm up. . . they called us and ask us to bring our own stuff cause they got no equipment. . .

and then after we said we don't have the equipment, they proceeded with the most !()@&$#*()%^~)@(^%~@^%()@#^%)^ question ever. . .

*ahem*

"Why not, you guys pool your cash together and pay for the instrument rental?"

WTF?

p/s : the whole rental, inclusive of drums and all that we were able to find at such short notice costs RM850. . .

they expect us to pay to play for their friggin n00b shit dinner?

they never pay us also i damn give face d. . .

Encountered a similar situation last year where the organizers called us few hours before the gig to ask us to bring our own equipment. My friend screwed the organizers and somehow they managed to get the instruments. If they were to ask us to fork out for the rental, we would've walked too.

then..we charge them at a very high price..for the rental

anyway..college event suck balls ...because ..uni students / college students..
all of them have the same mentality .."budget " " cut cost" " maximize profit"

so getting sh*tty equipment / no equipment is a very common thing in college events..and no pay
of course the best stuffs are real company events and all..
but I prefer playing for High school event than college uni event...ball night , i.u night..
high school students are big spenders ..they will pay RM200 for a prom..budget big like hell
recently i had a gig in a small high school..and if i tell anybody what equipments we got , and how much they offered /paid us ...it will scare you to death..

was excellent bro, oh man the paf7 sang with me during a short jam session at akarkarya last saturday, the tone was unbelievable man..when i played it clean thru a normal chorus + tremolo pedal..i wanna shed tears alrdy..cause i know how bad the standard pickup sounds like n this puppy is enough to make me love the axe more lol. So when i got ur blaze7..i'm happy too as well bro.
