Yeah. Lot spent on S3 IS. Can't throw this baby away. Still takes nice pics and super-zoom and STEREO vid recording all in one package is mighty handy... Will be the sidekick to my new DSLR....

It is a sad question to me. I bought RM5k (with kit lense) at Boeing last year, May. Soon later discount, discount and discount....

but you have shot, shot, and more shots during those discount period.. haha so many "moments" captured ady, so it's worth it

I got it for RM4.3k. There's some people who have seen it offered at a lower price lately. YMMV.

No. I wouldn't want any extras with it because the'd be charging me _EXTRA_ most of the time. Plus, those extras are 99% not worth the money you're paying for.

4.3k for kit, yes. 4k for body only. This is what I was offered a month ago.

What is your budget and the function u looking for?

mu bduget is probably around 4k, guess that leaves me to only the 2nd hand 70-200 f2.8L right?don't know wether should i consider the sigma 70-200 f2.8 which is almost half price of the canon's one...

get F4L IS then, precisely 4k. 2.8L is around more than 4k <5k

There's a country that has 24-135mm IS as their kit lens for 30D... i'm still trying to find out where.

Just would like some feedback from you 30D users. Anyone using this camera for astrophotography, ie. used together with a telescope in prime focus configuration? How would this camera compare to the Nikon D200? Not asking for a Nikon versus Canon war, but just some honest personal opinions.

Actually no different between this 2 brands, coz the method u are using will be with wide aperture and leave the bulb on all the time. I would suggest the set up similar like this 30D + 1.4/2.0x + 70-200F4L, and u can shot the moon surface without any problem.

I want to add some more comments on this camera.

I found the battery indicator finally reliable compare to my ex-10D. Last time my 10D when show battery half is actually maybe 5% left. Now show half but still remain after shooting about 1500 shots.

And also... I started to love my 30D because for the EF17-55 f2.8 IS USM... Together, they are really great company. Not even 1D/5D class camera can make use of this magical lense. And currently 30D is the best camera for this lense

I just get email from Mr.Liew - ylcamera@yahoo.com. U can get it 30D body + EF 17-85 IS USM for $5300 and a few items more. His shop in Pudu if I'm not mistaken.

I called ylCamera few times the last few days already. One regarding the 2nd hand 6mnth old EOS 30D he's selling together with battery grip for RM3800. His name was Desmond. But buying 2nd hand good require inspection and in my hesitation, it was sold hours later that same day it was advertised.....(Lucky KL'ites)

Regarding prices for NEW Set. He quoted me RM4K(Cash) for the Body only and somewhere around the lines of RM4299 With kit. I'd rather get the offer you stated... If you certain about this because maybe you're a regular there, then lucky you..... But confirm it and I will try to haggle with him when I go there.....
