I think wetsuits are more bergaya because they're more form fitting... it's like skinny jeans vs cargo pants
Good wetsuits seal well and are hard to put on and take off. The thicker they are, the harder it gets. But like anything, it gets easier with practice
Or use wkKY jelly...
Fleece lining helps a lot - there's an australian brand Probe which has a fantastic fleece-lined wetsuit. Turn it inside out and it dries in 1 hour so you can put on a nice warm suit for the next dive. Easy to slip on too.
I have not seen wool lined wetsuits before so I don't know how they are. As far as I could find, only Pinnacle (a NZ brand) makes them. Maybe it's not cost-effective to be adopted more widely.
You remember my sis trying to fit into the 7mm pinnacle suit in Bali last year? That one was supposedly with merino wool inside it. But the inner lining is still the same like normal wetsuit I guess. The wool is lined somewhere in the middle. Good wetsuits seal well and are hard to put on and take off. The thicker they are, the harder it gets. But like anything, it gets easier with practice
