Just stay above 30m. You wont be going deeper than 30m I guess because the dive centers there are very strict with NDL.

Yup I understand what you're asking There are dives I've done (elsewhere, not in Sipadan) where you absolutely need to go to a certain depth to see something awesome, for example engine room or artifacts. That would be a great reason for taking a better camera.

But generally speaking the holiday dive industry regulates itself around the 30m & no-deco limits. And remember that dive planning is a two-way street between you and your dive op, so you can always raise the issue of your camera

Hehe that is disadvantage using camera without uw case..my fren tg3 flood at 5 meter when do snorkeling.. Real story..in your case better not got more then 30m..just to be safe..

For what it's worth - my friend's medievac from Vanuatu to Brisbane cost something like $200,000. He probably would've died in Vanuatu without it. During the flight he had a few cardiac arrests, and when he arrived in Brisbane they diagnosed him with flesh-eating bacteria.

I was quoted 270 for 3 dives here in KK so far. Am thinkinf of doing some dives here before attempting any in the Sampoerna area.
