Comfort, price, your legs muscles.
Oh fin size is also important because if you travel your bag needs to fit the fins

for open heels you should try the dive boots first, then the fin to see if it fits comfortably without muscle or squeeze cramping due to the foot pocket being small. that being said both should be purchased at the same time so that you can try them.

whats your shoe size? i have a spare pair of relatively new fins which im looking to let go as well (look up the mares x-stream fins)

There are open heel and full foot fins. Open heel you need booties which makes walking on the beach easier when you do shore diving. Full foot fins need to properly fit or you will get blisters.
Than there are power fins, split fins and normal fins. Power fins not so suitable for beginners as they require leg muscles. Split fins I dont see many using them anymore. Normal fins there are many different type. Pick one that is within your budget and that you like.
Mares you can go for puck pro or if got budget the smart.
Suunto beginner level is zoop. Next level D4i novo priced around 2k. But if you have the budget why not.

You sure you want to spend 1k++ for a wetsuit?
Cheap camera without UW casing will flood at certain depth. Even Olympus TG5 depth range without casing is 15m only.

The camera still function after you resurfaced?

thanks for replying guys. I was using the UW casing of course and it has 30m depth proof. It was dry when I brought it up to the surface and it can still be turned on, even in the water depths it can turn on, but it will turn itself off either immediately or some time after turning it on. So i get to take like 10 seconds video and then off. So it's a problem you guys unheard of?

Maybe the spring in the casing doesn't have enough force to push back against the water pressure.

If you plan to spend a few days at nusa penida you could consider doing that.

If you are only spending 1-2 days, it's only a 45 minute speedboat ride from land fyi.

fin sizing is quite arbitrary because depending on the fin model and manufacturer you can get different results, additionally the thickness of the boots will also change the sizing of the fins.

for starters the mares x stream that i have is size S and is suitable for US size 6 to 9 or UK 5 to 8 and should fit any boots that are 3mm or less, shoe sizing in malaysia usually follows the UK standard, as for the type of fin i guess it can be classified as a pivoting blade fin which should be similar to a standard fin
