Can get anyone that you feel is stylish and within your budget. They are somewhat similar. Just make sure its 3mm thick.

You practice skills in pool with your instructor during your open water course. He will guide you on multiple skills to do and complete. Of course the pool will be at least 2 meters at the deepest end.

Which dive center you are taking your course with? Going to which island? Have fun and enjoy the course!
*
I am going to Lang tengah. Take up course with Long Adventure.

Maybe will try to book for practice session with SA aquatic pool for extra lesson. To experience more underwater feel. Very new in this.

Btw, which center offer free diving? Is it better for a scuba diver to practice freediving skill?

for open heels you should try the dive boots first, then the fin to see if it fits comfortably without muscle or squeeze cramping due to the foot pocket being small. that being said both should be purchased at the same time so that you can try them.

whats your shoe size? i have a spare pair of relatively new fins which im looking to let go as well (look up the mares x-stream fins)
*
I thk my shoe size range around 37, when I had my pool session thy let me try find with size labeled 4-5. Is x steam fine a normal fin or power fine?

Anyone know or heard bout “waterproof” brand of wetsuit? I am still searching for a full wetsuit.
My area mainly sell bare and mares, and some model size are limited. Looking for something good quality. How is bare? Newbie here and I afraid I regret of saving the some and eventually found it has weak point that cause me uncomfortable under water

seen and heard but have not tried, its not a common brand in asia, at least in japan or malaysia for my case, some brands are mostly sold in the US or EU region, although im a sucker for nice design and symetry but i try to avoid color because not every brand has the same color palette for a design i like.... sweat.gif

if you cant or are unable to try because the local shops dont sell them you should try to read more reviews about it, although some less common brands has lesser reviews so opinions can be biased. personally you should set your expectation with budget first and compare prices across online stores and local stores which carry the brand to get the average pricing since i do know for example scubapro in malaysia is overpriced because of monopoly by sealantis
*
I will want to get it at local shop and try it before I buy. I just don’t want to pay lot more extra but actually can get similar product(overprice for price to quality ratio)

Here they are selling at about RM900. Found at the Scuba warehouse. Tested one gull as well but maybe cutting not fit in. Bought the w3 instead.

I just done my open water test and my last dive was about 16m depth I thk. When I am around 10-12m depth, we suppose to go up to 5-6m range for safety stop. But my kick was too strong and i ascent to near to surface... want to know is this harmful for me? The ascent is not a shoot up move but I didn’t manage to stop myself at the check point. How actually I should do?

Hi. I am ok since came out from the dive, so far. Is about 22hours by now. I thk my main issue is I do not know the cut off point of “5m”, I do not know when to stop; and also not good in control buoyancy. How do I practice this? Want to avoid this next dive...

Practice hovering.
When you do your safety stop make sure to deflate your bcd slowly as you go up. Watch your depth gauge or dive computer to know where to stop to hover.
Most situation like this happens when divers got their weighting wrong or didnt properly deflate their bcd. New divers find it difficult because they breath in too much due to nervousness.

Thanks, will practice on that!

What is the major set back between D4i and D6i? Compass? Will we need it later?
