when you buy apple machines, it will come along with mac os, but not window wink.gif Got two choices, you can eithe install window via bootcamp or parallels(virtual PC). Installing it at Virtual PC, the performance will be slower than bootcamp. The good thing about virtual pc is you do not need to reboot or switch to window while you are in mac os. So window os is running inside mac os.

if u use bootcamp, the mac partition will be automatically divided depend on you, without removing the Mac OS itself. For good performance i recommend u to install Bootcamp.

read here for more details---> http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/

buy your Mac first,

For those who using mac book but not macbook pro, pls notice bootcamp might need at lease 1G ram to run smoothly. It's because you need to partition you ram to you original Os (OX 10) and windowXP.

Just a remind,

Is it right? I don't think so.
RAM partition?
Maybe you mean Parallels or CrossOver.
Both of the apps will share RAM with the main OS (Mac OS) since it's running in it.
But of course not BootCamp because it runs as stand alone, does not share RAM with any OS.
