Bro u r pumping ro97?

Any significant diff?
*
I can get around 550 KM per tank, 70% highway 30% city..
Full time RON 97 user. Always stick with Caltex.

Caltex fuel provide a faster gear shift (controlled by computer), eg: When to rev from static, it will rev to 1.5K RPM before computer manipulate to next gear (we are talking virtual gear here, controlled by computer).
Tried BHP RON97, it rev till 2K RPM then only shift to next gear. Which I believe here, Caltex have better power output, as computer sense the power output achieved faster in order to manipulate to next gear.

Plus, 2NR-FE engine consider as high compression ratio engine, which in this case, I believe RON 97 fuel can help to achieve the efficiency of this engine.

Just my thought.

2017 vios users, anyone face the car lose power when the air cond kick in? Howevee the power resume in short moment.. It's like when u accelerating, then the aircond kick in, ur rpm drop a bit, then gain back right after it? Its too common when driving car uphill and aircond kick in.. Last time when getting new car, also have this kind of situation, but not so noticeable, but now it getting quite noticeable..

If feel a bit then I assume its normal, but now it seems take a lil more time to gain back the power.. Any opinions? Thanks..

Hi guys, just a question, is the latest gen vios abs so sensitive? Yesterday was heavy rain, and the car park few areas are accumulate with water, when I drove by those water spots, and hitting brake at the same time, the abs just kick in, even though I press light foot on the brake pedal.. is this normal?

Wow bro, how could u can tahan drive only 100km/h on highway. For me at least 120km/h.
*
I think depends on the traffic? Sometimes driving 100 km/h constantly will just give you the pleasure of driving and enjoy the scenery. Unless the traffic is moderate and you can't get constant speed of 100km/h at all times.
I am also type of person who drove 100 km/h, enjoyed driving much, and another thing is to prevent flying stone chip, as last time was hit by a stone chip leaving good deep dent and scratch mark. Afterward, when any lorries or buses overtake me, I will slow down a bit and let them pass.

Just some checking with you guys,

1. SC quote me AC servicing for the upcoming maintenance service, the car would be 18th month at that time, and current mileage is about 20k. From the Toyota website, AC service recommended at 30k mileage, should I push to 30k mileage then only go to AC service?
2. When car pass by pot hole, there will be"kruk" sound coming from the front wheel (on driver side), it is similar to my old car, the tie rod knocking sound. However, this sound just occur occasionally, depends on the pothole or uneven road that passed through.
3. When car going up slope and tight turning (car park building), no matter left or right, there will be some rubber friction sound, have checked and its coming from the engine compartment area and not coming from the tire, could it be the rubber boot of the tie rod?

Thanks.

Send back SC and claim, it is PVM ECU faulty..
I experienced this last time, went to SC and have them replaced for me FOC. But you need to expect 1 to 2 weeks for the parts to arrive.

sweat.gif ....reckless driver see yr car also ramp u. bruce.gif

Today will start driving with ECO Off. Will try one month without ECO on
*
I think VIOS ECO indicator is different from what CITY have.

VIOS ECO indicator just a indicator to determine the current driving situation is in the optimal condition where fuel economy will be achieved. It doesn't have anything related to ECU tuning, etc. Turning it on/off wont affect your FC. It is just a display.
While CITY, yes, they did have this difference when they switched between ECO and non-ECO, as it involved with ECU tuning.

Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.

Done...toyota full syn 5w/40 really expensive compare to other.

@ameyhazuan
I ask around the sc regarding ECO off. They answer it will really turn off the ECO not indicator.
The only way to disable dlr is unplug the cable to ballast which is not recommend. Not only me  complain during night time thet really annoying alot of ppl also complain. Nit much can do.
*
Then its really got effect for the ECO indicator. Gotta give it a try during trip back to hometown. Thanks for the info.

For DRL, doesn't they have fuse connected? Maybe remove the fuse will do? Just asking.

I left my eco on. But I notice sometime when caught in jam and I stop, the eco indicator will off. Sometimes, when I accelerate after passing through smartag also eco indicator will off...other times it is on most of the time. Is there something wrong?

And also I realise my steering got heavy breathing sound. Noticeable if the radio is off.  Like dark vader breathing sound...normal?
*
ECO will on when car is moving more than 5 km/h, else the ECO indicator will off..

For the steering, is the sound come up when you turn the steering? If yes, I believe it is the EPS (Electric Power Steering) motor sound.

Yesterday early morning go buy the police report. Request for Keputusan Kes need take around 2week for result.
Went to Toyota SC in Balakong because Cheras SC didn't handle accident claim.  Since i still need to wait for the case result for 2week better start getting more info directly.
Went to counter 12 there a Malay girl which is so polite and nice. I ask izzit true i can't claim under lorry inssurance. She say Yes but this is dulu memang xdapat claim tapi sekarang sdah ada perubahan hanya public transport(bas, taxi and motorbike)masih xdapat claim lorry boleh. Kena tunggu keputusan kes kalau lorry tersebut disabit salah maka can claim under ODKFK.

So i ask them to quote me repair cost in case i can't claim ODKFK and dun want claim under OD( NCD). Door+paint+labour+tax = almost rm2700+ cry.gif
Then i left since now cannot do anything yet. Go to few shop my friend recommend for ketuk and repaint. The price range around rm350-rm500.
*
I also service my car at Balakong there. Is her name Aziera?
Haha.. As my current service advisor is her, malay girl, very friendly, she will advise what to service at that interval and also the necessity to do it or not. Recently I called her regarding my next 30k service, which included with AC service, I asked her regarding the SOP, she brief me in details what service/maintenance will be done for the AC service. Very friendly and attentive to customer inquiry.
