erm...i dunno where is it?
can be more specific???
*
Kg Pandan roundabout

i can't be more specific but if you take Sg Besi road towards KL
after TUDM, go straight, don't take Istana Negara Road
from there make sure u keep left & go down to Kg Pandan Roundabout
Jln Pasar is the other side of the road, it's like u take Kg Pandan roundabout as a U-turn
form the road u go down into Kg Pandan roundabout, it's 6 0'clock roundabout

thanks bro, but am a bit worried, as Ozzie tends to only nibble his "iced mealworms" and leaves the rest
to drop to the bottom, how ah? shall i change to pellets? and recommendations on pellets? blush.gif
*
Hey wait!
For first few days, aro normally dun eat
just let it be, wait till few days, may be 2 days, then try feed him again

this is because aro still trying to adapt to new home & when it comfortable with it, it will eat

Hve bought frozen mealworms, tried, he only eats a small chunk when its floating,
when it drops down, he buat tak tau...thats why asking about pellet.... notworthy.gif
*
It's good to gave him floating food as it's good for his eye development
this is to avoid drop eyes if given drops/sinked food

talking about drop eye....this is something i discover only today....last night i switched off all the light in my 6footer....den this morning in pure darkness when i woke up...i on both the light.....and i was SHOCKED to see that both my aro eyes were dropped....and he looked stunned....but after while it went back to normal....i stood longer just to see if the problem happen again....but it didn't....so i realise to totally leave the aro in pure darkness is a no no.....from today onwards i think i will leave a light on or on some light near that tank...
anyone experince this before ?
*
If you teach your aro from the start switching on the light, it is advisable to maintain it for quite sometime

My aro, i didn't teach him open light 24/7, so no risk of dropping eyes
If you switching off the tank light, make sure there's no available light near the tank
especially the lower one or light come out from beneath the door

at first if your aro don eat....could be because he is tank stress....starve him 3-5 days den only stard feeding again.....don worry about not eating....you are the boss not him...so feed him only when u feel like u want to feed him ! hahahahaa....

and for the pallet training...if he don eat....u can feed those pallet to the meal worms...and meal worms to aro....it works that way too !

Cool tips there c0c0 thumbup.gif

I normally let the superworms ate each other
i tried feed them bread, fruits (apples, cucumber) but to no avail, nothing, none
so, just let they eat themselves laugh.gif

well, the XL people told me it is indonesia one. Not sure what it is. Will this RM500 arowana still look red when it grows up. I still cannot afford a few k arowana. so wanna try this. anyone can advise?
*
If u want to try, better try
actually, aro is worth buying

If u dun want to spend few K, why not try on RTG instead?
you still can get it below RM900 if u know how to bargain
Try to look at other FORUM, may be can get below RM800
RTG is better than Banjar Red BUT if u like RED color, go for Banjar Red then

Good Luck to u thumbup.gif

IMO RTG is better than Banjar Red interm of sell back price. For adult banjar can reach around RM500 max, but for RTG can reach until RM2K++.  biggrin.gif
Nowaday u can get young banjar around RM300-500 (only my estimation), young RTG will cost you minimum RM600. So you do the calculation la.  smile.gif  Keeping aro is not a matter of $$ but more to passion. But with good financial management you can get better aro.  notworthy.gif
*
Come into that again, based on the first quoted post, i can see it's 1/2 banjar
coz LFS near my house also selling around that price, RM400++
So, it's no doubt, RTG is better than 1/2 red Banjar biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

May be because of the food
defected feeder fish can cause the problem
plus, never change water in 2,3 weeks

water also can be hazardous to aro if you don't change it in 2,3 weeks
i normally change the water when it reach 3 weeks
i read somewhere is, better to change after 2 weeks

QUOTE(serewen @ Feb 29 2008, 02:22 PM)
wow, feed with froggies somemore, is that costs you Rm0.50 each?
my aro sometime merajuk one la,sometime I put the market prawns,he just ignore it and wasted!so, sometime i only feed it a few days once.
and then, now i only use the normal white sponge as my water filter, last time used to use the active carobon one.

LFS near my house selling for 3 = RM1 for small one
2 = RM1 for bigger one
