14k is quite a bit of wear, you can try to go any tyre shop to see if they'd take it. IMO even if you pay full price, the Primacy SUV+ is well worth it. I traded in the Toyo shit tyres on day one
*
I thought it was okay at first but after 14k, you could feel the lesser attributes of the Toyos. Don't get me started on the noise lol.

Used a MC5, Primacy 4 before this. Will try and ask tyre shops nearby. One shop quoted me RM720+ per piece for the primacy.

How much roughly is the Primacy SUV+?
*
Changed primacy suv+ two weeks ago at Seremban shop, cheaper than the shops I found in semenyih and kl. 685 per piece or 2740, including alignment balancing. Best is the boss give me stainless steel tube and nuts for free, other place charge 60-80.

Primacy really much much quiet compare to Toyo. But I feel the cornering performance and high speed driving is not as nice as Toyo. The primacy make my car feel higher, it is "thicker" compare to Toyo. If can, wait for Primacy 5. Not available yet for CRV

May be new tires need running in?

One reason I opted for 2WD is because I think AWD will be like a 2WD with Econ mode on. Just my guess because I never driven both back to back to test.

Wonder if there's anywhere that we can trade in tyres. Feel like getting the primacy suv, with only 14k on my current toyo.

Mine 15K. How many km do you think it will last before needing replacement.

Not so sure myself. Read online some users got about 30-40k but I'm looking to replace it now. The nuances of the car somehow gets magnified with how quiet the engine is, and I'm not a heavy footed driver. Try to keep it on EV most of the time , hence the tyre noise gets a bit more evident.

Ya, maybe need some time for running in.

Not sure about current model, las time with Gen5, most of their test drive unit were AWD. I did test drive both, AWD feel better but slightly slower than 2Wd in acceleration. End up my wife choose 2wd turbo since the agent said AWD tyre finish faster and with higher fc.

Please do elaborate more on "AWD feel better". I have always has the impression AWD only better if you drive like a F1 driver and superiority can not be felt for normal town or even highway drive.

As for tires, if one is damaged, you may not be able to just change that one tire. Ideally, you may have to change all 4. Going to be expensive.

Hard to explain in details bro, lol. But that time I test drive at Honda PJ, my SA bring me go up to federal highway, fastest went up to 120kmh only, not very fast. The biggest difference btw Awd and 2wd is that when u drive AWD go through corner, the car feel much more stable, and I can even increase speed, as my SA ask me to do so, lol, although the car will still have body roll like awd, but u can "feel" the rear wheel really help the car stick on the line, and make the car easier to turn. On straightline no much difference, but for acceleration, definitely 2wd turbo is faster.

Not sure whether have to change 4 tyres together when one is damaged, but I think even if driving 2wd, if the other three tyre condition is poor, might as well just change all. But one thing for sure AWD tyre wear out faster, my SA told me most AWD buyer are uncle, even they drive slow, max can tahan until 35k km, usually 25-30k km the tyre will be finished

Then u should change to use primacy, it more quiet than toyo. The stock tyre can last at least 35k km, my wife can drive until 50k km. So it is a bit wasted if you change at 14k km. Maybe you can look for tyre shops that allow for trade in, some tyre shop in johor allow trade in with old tyre for rm100 or 200 although their new tyre already sell very cheap, their main focus is to hit the sales target set by Michelin for 6-8% extra rebate which is also their profit. KL area won't give that kind of offer

Yup hence my initial query of where can I find shops to trade in lol.

Yea totally understand how long it can last but I think the tyres can be better hence I'm looking at the primacy suvs. Or if not I'm thinking of the Conti UC SUVs, seems to get quite good reviews as well.

My G5 is TCP
My G6 is AWD

The only reason i go for V Specs is the camera,, not the driving dynamic,, and how often we hantam corner, we all uncle already, our boy racer era have gone,, and why you want take corner at high speed ?.. this is not GTR

If I can turn back time I will choose 2WD, the 360 camera in this car is sweat.gif

Dont get me wrong,, this gen is the best gen in term of driving experience and NVH, but build quality for some parts esp inside is total let down

Like I said before I always miss my G3

Can rule out Kl Selangor and Seremban, lol. Some might allow trade in for 50 or 100 but sure will sell new tyre with higher price.

My house got one x50 using uc6, it is cheaper but not as good as primacy, and definitely more quiet compare to Toyo.

You memang Honda fans ya, own 3 gens of crv.

Ya, miss my old days can always fly on highway , hahaha. After marry with kids, like license kena "gantung" already, nowadays with kids in car, have to drive slow. Now average fc show 12/L, 70% city drive

G6 is better than g5, especially rear seat space

A simple Google will tell you the problem with replacing just 1 tires on any AWD vehicle. Because of the difference in overall diameter of the 4 tires should you replace just 1 semi-old damaged tire.

Cut & paste: While replacing only one tire on an AWD Honda is possible in some cases, it's generally recommended to replace tires in pairs (front or rear) or as a full set to maintain optimal AWD system performance and prevent potential drivetrain issues.

Then there is the question of warranty. Will Honda void your warranty if they found 1 tire diameter is different and your drivetrain got damaged. I just don't want potential headache. One big reason I opted for 2WD
