If your car got honda sensing, better change the windscreen at Honda, if 3S they will send to authorise workshop on behalf. As long the receipt is from Honda, you can ask them fix if got any issue.

Cialat, nowadays, even change Windscreen also might affect some warranty.
thankyou

I think common sense prevail lar in this matter for car users. If car users got no common sense and plug in high powered devices that exceed the 12V limit, sure lar, anything also can burned and might send the wrong signal back to ECU that regulates the power throughout the car. Do remember where the power comes from the small 12V car battery, that also supply power to all the electronics, engine and electrical parts in the car. Even if it is within the 12V specification, it can quickly drain the battery disabling many functions of the cars.

In generally, unless someone has no common sense and plug high power drain device into the standard 12V socket aka....water boiler, portable iron (if they have 12V socket connection, anyone!!! Haha), I think most car-based items such as dashcam, tyre pump, tmps that have 12V socket specification design, likely no problem.

Yes common sense will tell as I said whatever accessories that owner want to add on that using 12v socket supply, install it at your own risk. Warranty will not cover for any add on outside accessories that causing the 12v socket or electrical parts malfunction.

Actually if the workshop is good enough and no impact to the sensing camera when change screen, then no issue.

Same like changing car battery. My brother car last time when change battery at outside, the guy didn't connect with temporary battery before he unplugged and replace the battery in the car. End up when start the car, error code popped out, so have to send back to Hyundai SC for reset, luckily just cost him RM100.

The Honda sensing could be expensive, my cousin handled one case before, the accessories shop worker accidentally push and damage the camera, think cost the owner few thousand to replace it. So for peace of mind, better send to honda.

Sifu Sifu sekalian, what specs do you think the best for weekends and balik kampung use only? V specs or RS better? Got petrol claim for weekdays so RS seems not so suitable for my case..Any advice?

Then V spec lor if can claim petrol since it is over 14K difference.

However buying RS is not about petrol saving only. It is more about full specs, looks and most importantly, driving refinement. There is a difference in daily drive of RS and V. The smoother acceleration of RS, the much lower noise of RS drive especially when running in EV Mode gives quite a different refinement in driving experience turbo engine don't have. They are so similar in many ways but yet during daily drive, actually got different wan.

Even travelling on highway, if you don't speed above 110, it can go EV mode lots of time. EV mode = smoother acceleration and low or no engine noise. RS tyre comes with resonator to further lower road noise and RS looks better. So is that all worth 14K extra for RS, you can decide for yourself.

I based this on test drive for both E spec and RS....and my own experience in City eHev vs Petrol (that one daily drive coz I have eHev). It is only when you drive it daily will you feel the difference in driving refinement. They are so similar yet somehow substantially different (for the better, somehow more smoother like butter when accelerating, EV silence is superb even when engine turned on to charge) when compared with petrol variant. The drivetrain is entirely different, Petrol CVT vs eHev e-CVT which is essential electrical motor.

No action on the car accelerator pedal seems wasted, if you accelerate, it will charge the battery, if you lift foot off pedal or brake, it will charge the battery. Travelling on highway, it will charge the battery. When you slow down to below 110, sometimes, it switched to EV, silent drive (besides road noise, thats that, cannot avoid).

However from financial point of view, if you don't drive a lot, it is a waste to use the much higher price RS but if you look from perspective of comfort, refinement without financial impact, then it is really not a waste.

How about the resale value? Perhaps plan for 10 years ownership for this new car. Currently I owned the Civic FC 2017 1.5 TC, used to be daily ride but no more now, ytd mileage 1-2k km only. blush.gif . Planning to switch to this CR-V. Feel RS much better with Bose thingy etc.. But for weekends + balik kampung, maybe 1 year only 5k mileage. So this is the dilemma now doh.gif Thinking of recon Toyota Harrier also. But again, used car.. Cannot so tahan eye sore of the possible scratches etc

I only drive 3–5k km every year and I chose the RS because of the serene and effortless driving experience. The Bose sound system a lot people say is gimmicky but I like it coming from stock Civic FC sound system also.

For me because I only drive so little every year I want to make every trip count so I booked RS. Might be a stupid justification to others but it's my money biggrin.gif lots of people buy even more luxury cars but don't drive them a lot too.

That is why I say if financial impact is not considered, choose RS is not wasted. However if you want to talk about value, at least for now, Hybrid resale value is definitely lower than petrol variant coz fear of battery change cost (including inverter, etc) can set you back from 8K to 18k. Battery is getting cheaper tho, but still it is a pending cost that will have to be considered if used car for over a decade. So treat RS resale value to be similar to V spec erasing the 14K differences... cry.gif

Actually if you really want to say worth it or not for so low mileage, not worth it to even get CRV. The more expensive the car, the bigger the depreciation (not percentage, we calculate value difference). However many buy car for comfort and joy of driving, that is why ppl still buy bmw to enjoy the comfort, the ego, the driving feel instead of buying a vios that in reality already suffice for driving already. So you can go buy Veloz....good enuf for the 5K annual trip, not that wasted compared with CRV but would you get the CRV huge SUV comfort...nah...

Just like going for expensive oversea trips, 1 trip 20k, worth it? From experience, enjoyment sense yes. From financial sense, total waste of money for a just a short term enjoyment but that is life. We buy to enjoy when we have the dough.

Another option coming soon for those considering CRV or waiting for their hybrid

https://www.caricarz.com/en/news/2024/07/re...anned-too/12915

I'm not too confident with Bermaz pricing however. But since they mention this is gonna be their volume driver + its CKD I'll give them the benefit of doubt

Kimchi brands are always known for their love or hate it design

For me personally I'll take the Sportage exterior over any reserved Jap designs atm. The interior is less of a debate, Sportage clearly is a step forward

Ouch... that's crazy. Some people in this thread booked later than you already got their cars. I think you should file a complaint with HM. Maybe your branch is doing hanky panky and skipping you for some reason (e.g., somebody paid to jump queue)
