Anyone test driven the 2WD and 4WD. Can share your experience pls? For normal tar road, not driving like a daredevil, feel any difference in stability etc? If no, then I might as well go for 2WD for better acceleration and fuel economy

The 1.5T got sufficient power?

I was looking for the CRV too but surprisingly it didnt meet my expectation. I have no idea if the test car I had driven was a problematic one as i could feel the ABS was not like an ABS, kind of hard braking even when you pressed the pedal very very slowly. When i asked the SA, she was like 'not sure'. I drive a Jazz and honestly speaking the Jazz is far better than the CRV.  The CRV won in terms of space, power, features, infotainment and NVH. I was expecting the CRV could handle bumpy road very well, buttttt it might be my expectation was too high or the test drive car was problematic??
*
ABS. I thought it only get activated during emergency very hard braking?

Regarding NVH. I find Honda generally very poor at NVH, compared to Toyota. This CRV good now?

Thailand base model CRV starts from RM186K.
Usually our price is higher?

I would go for CX8 with that price  doh.gif

But the CX is over 10 yrs old design with updates.

I drive jazz too then got an opportunity to drive corolla cross for a short distance.
Nice comfort ride.
Now looking forward to test drive CRV when I send my car for service later on.

Let me know the feeling when braking once you had a chance to drive it compared to Jazz. I didn't really like it but I need a bigger space and i love CRV, lol.

What I mean, the feeling when you brake is different compared to Jazz that i drive. It's kind of hard-braking even when you soft-touch the brake pedal during low accelaration. Probably it's just the nature of rear disc brake.

I have a old turbo diesel (every 5000km) and a Proton turbo petrol engine (every 6 months). 80% town driving. Nothing bad has happened yet.
*
Well I’ve just have to follow the indicator on when engine oil replacement required for warranty and service schedule.

2WD is more than enough for daily drive whether on town or highway. Is just that 4WD give an extra grip when you go bonkers 😬. I’m driving 2WD variant so far so good. I’ve tried driving fast during heavy downpour and ESC kicks in.

1.5T sufficient power? 190bhp & 243nm…. 😋🥹😅

Yeah, i have to agree with your statement. I have tested driving two CRVs and i really don't like the way it brakes, Jazz wins.

I have different opinion, I think the CRV brake is better, having 2 pot design compared to jazz
The last city I had always activate ABS easily, even on bumpy road with mild braking.

Lets put it this way, i expect a family oriented suv at this price range to have more comfortable brakes.

You felt the brake bite too sudden right? It had some continental car brake feel. For me is good cause during high speed sudden slow down I’m able to brake in time.

All this is due to the dual, piston brake caliper, more power is used to generate better brakes.
If someone have driven more powerful cars, you will know they bite even stronger.
I would prefer better biting brakes than slow biting brakes, which is more for low powered/light cars because they do not need that much friction force to slow down.

Since is a turbo engine powered and heavy vehicle, stopping power need to be better. Hence the front brake pad replacement for CR-V cost RM 700 +/- 😅

Some says not comfortable in braking but I felt confidence with the braking it has.

Is under the centre arm rest compartment. For the first time, CR-V Gen5 only have one 12V power socket for Malaysia market.

hi guys anyone successfully installed reverse sensor for 2014 CRV. The problem is my dad is getting old and he needs the sensor to beep when reversing. Anyone knows a good aftermarket reverse sensor?

I thought 2014 CRV already comes with reverse sensor, even my previous 2010 CRV has it.
Are you referring to reverse sensor or camera?
