Anyone add the package with door visor, side step and rear bumper protector? I wonder what is the protector. Anyone can share? Thanks.

It's an additional layer on the top surface of the rear bumper. It's function is to avoid scratches and other accidental damages when you are loading stuff into the trunk space

Read your blog review and would appreciate some insights.
*Any particular reasons to avoid the TCP variant? We are tempted to get the top spec cuz Honda Sensing, etc.. But debating if we'll use such extra features regularly enough to justify the added costs.
*How's noise levels inside the cabin at city speeds and highway speeds. I read on FB that it's noisy from 100km/h?
*Bluetooth phone connectivity? Performance? Calls clarity? Mic sounds pickup comfortable?
*I alternate between podcasts, radio stations and hi-res music on phone storage. Mainly podcasts. So how's the speakers? Voice/speech clarity levels in particular. In your previous review, you mentioned it lacked bass. So there's that.
*Had the chance to lug around 4 fully grown adults... Power still sufficient for zippy overtaking and hill climbs?
*Lastly, the front sensors. I'm also coming from an older vehicle and want a relatively easy to maneuver vehicle for the missus.. So front parking sensors is a must. How's the one on the CRV? Particularly in regards to road side kerbs, those low ones that one has to park perpendicular/angled lines. It's performance here is a make or break deal for us.

I don't think it's wise to addon the door visor as that will result in more wind noise.

I learned from SA that the Honda Sensing thingy is only applicable when the car is in cruise mode. Meaning long drive along PLUS highway or if you drive to Cyber often. I don't do that, so I didn't think it's worth buying.

I've been on LDP in PJ only not on any highway long enough to do > 100kmh. But at 90kmh it is very quiet. City speeds is extremely quiet as well. If you look at the bottom near the exhaust part and along the tyres, there are some sound proofing done. Some materials that was used.

Can't comment on Bluetooth as I'm using CarPlay. But mic pickup is very good. Very clear according to the missus whom I spoke to daily. The children at the back sometimes talk to their mother and the mic was able to pick their voices as well.

Speakers damn good. There are 4 speakers and 4 tweeters. 8 in total. Maybe that's the reason it lacked bass. Podcast is very clear, no issue.

Don't have chance to take 4 grown adults yet. Will let you know more.

I really like the front sensors. It helps a lot. I'm not sure if it can detect road kerbs though as I think it's not "pointing downwards". Worth to observe. But it can detect my plant leaves. Ha ha. I should take a picture of the front sensor in the 7" screen. There's like 4 spots it's Sensing, so I thought it's pretty good at covering all angles.

got my 2.0 last weekend..very impressed..love the handling and feels powerful even its 2.0..interior top class..signal lamps looking very canggih
for me the auto lock is non issue as i dont really use it i am only trying to figure out how to make Waze work in apple carplay..

I'd think you can get that protector from one of the Honda accessories package. I didn't think it was necessary.

Unless Waze supports CarPlay, I'm not sure how else you can make it work without jailbreaking.

Didnt think about the wind noise. as my current car has it, so, i think it's normal to have it.

I actually prefer the no faux wood panels on the 2.0 variant. Was actually my first complaint about the vehicle when I went to see it in person. But it's definitely the 1.5t engine for me. But yeah, the interior is quite improved over the previous gen.. Wasn't expecting that as we took one look at the previous gen earlier this year and ruled it out immediately. Shifted to the CX-5 instead. So good on Honda this time. Here's to hoping that the cars being rolled out of the factory are continually subjected to high quality standards.

Nah, Waze only just supported Android Auto. Fairly certain that they'd be working on releasing for CarPlay.. Releasing for Android first is expected cuz well market share and owned by Google.. Have more access etc.

I went for test drive last week in terengganu. The SA over there quite nice to me and let me test all the sensing and everything else. I am currently driving lexus is 250. My first impression, the new honda crv really awesome. The honda sensing itself worth the buy. The noise level of course not at the same par with my lexus, but still better than most cars. Emergency brake and braking distance are excellent. The body will slightly going ?downward, so make sure everyone in the car fastent their seat beltnas emergency braking will throw them out thru fws. Handling while braking is good. 1.5tcp engine can easily reach 100km in no time.
