QUOTE(blacktubi @ Jul 22 2017, 04:37 PM) Fun fact, a modern smartphone will beat E5186 with antenna. There's a lot of affordable phones with good modem nowadays. People more trusted with Huawei brands. Since all telco also offers Huawei broadband pocket mifi..

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 22 2017, 10:32 AM) My B3 only is way faster than B3+B7 because B7 is very slow in my area. You can try toggling between B3 only or B7 only. Thanks for the advice. It seems B7 in my area offers a much more stable connection with consistent speed. QUOTE(blacktubi @ Jul 22 2017, 12:28 PM) Yes it is totally normal. The modem in S7 Edge is so much more advanced than E5186. (Cat12 vs Cat6) Yeah, I figured as much. Thanks. Even with the current speed it's way better than my streamyx 4mbps. haha

There's a lot of affordable phones with good modem nowadays. one of it I believe is Huawei Nova Lite.. RM700 before discounts/code.. Cat6 modem QUOTE(rhytion @ Jul 22 2017, 04:47 PM) My area does have indoor LTE-A coverage, or maybe I should go for the Netgear AC810s which is RM50 cheaper, but comes with 3CA and LTE Cat 9? Netgear is good with its qualcomm chipset and considered cheaper than huawei.. what worries me it does not have any tool box or software than can lock to bands that we needed unlike huawei.. at least what I have know..

QUOTE(Che5ter @ Jul 22 2017, 04:48 PM) i just check my area, outdoor got 4g, but indoor got nothing, why is that so weird? Something probably blocking signal at your house Try locking to 4g signal only if still can get any Last time I had to get 1800mhz booster just to get full bar for digi 4g, otherwise it just hovers around 1-2 bar or goes back to 3g

QUOTE(psjjl @ Jul 23 2017, 09:43 AM) Why the speed become so slow every Sunday? Probably too many people using causing congestion, on a typical sunday like this, it can't even reach the speed of my Streamyx 8Mbps connection.

I always travel too and never bother to turn off any feature. If no Roam Like Home, then just switch off data roaming. Anyway, use it for free until end of this year only. After that have to pay RM 30 per month but it's still cheap for frequent travellers.
