hey guys, wanna ask about dvd regions..

what i noticed is that on amazon.com, the hd dvd 'Ray' was written as Region 1..

what i picked up from coldforged.org was

"For HD-DVD movies, yes [the xbox 360 hd dvd player is region free] as are all HD-DVD players. For standard DVDs, no."

so to confirm, if i were to buy that region 1 hd dvd, i should be able to play it on the player right?

i think that's the shop cos they're the only one that sells blu-ray and hd at cineleisure. bought my first title there, good service, friendly guy. But i still prefer buying from amazon cos even with the shipping rates included, it's still cheaper than buying from the shop + traveling costs (for me at least).

yea the trick is to limit ur shipments to less than RM 500...anything above would normally peak the kastams interest..

hmm..well as far as i've asked bro arj...he didn't have any problems with amazon shipments. maybe its luck, but i just try to limit the price. my first try was 2 dvds at 250++ and thank God no problems.

can we set that amazon declare them as gifts?

hey just to clarify...if i wanna be safe, should i mark my dvd shipments as gifts to lessen the risk of kastam? cos with gifts, they don't display the price yeah? want to order now, but need u ppls advice/experience. thx!

if u see tht amazon warns u about region 1 discs when ordering hd dvd, its probably cos ur ordering a combo hd, and the dvd side of it is region 1 coded. just some info for the uninitiated.

silencer: 300 pq was ok to me. just finished watching extras...but i think forgot to set to 1080p b4 watching...shud get slightly crisper pic if set to 1080p b4 playing the movie.

will be playing hot fuzz in a few minutes. cant wait to check out the 5/5 disc!!

silencer: yea 300 is supposed to be 'dirty' with grainy effects n whatnot, i personally like tht. oh and i watched hot fuzz n it was amazing! the colors!! the clarity!! the sound!!!!

hey guys...i found some cool easter eggs on the 2nd disc of transformers. just try to press left or right on some of the chapters..and you'll see some of the characters heads pop up..press OK on it to see some funny outtakes, deleted scenes as well as a new BAY transformers figure from hasbro!
