And also i just heard New Line Cinema and HBO might follow WB footsteps as well by being Blu-ray exclusive.

The press conference for hd-dvd that was supposed to happen in CES 2008 has been postponed to a latter time and will be held in some hotel instead of the CES area. Warner really screws things up for hd-dvd after they make that announcement.

QUOTE(g5sim @ Jan 6 2008, 03:55 PM) Holly Fvck !! I am SHOCKED !!! Let WB go to Bluray. HD-DVD still got Universal and Paramount. Btw .. Iron Man belongs to Paramount Well, if Warners think the replication cost and issues are not significant to throw their exclusive support to BD well all the best. Hopefully the prices of BD players will continue to drop and technology continue to improves. now waiting for the revised HD DVD CES press con !! announcing the decision five months before time ... hehehe something fishy here. Might as well as stop HD DVD support immediately. still extremely dissappointed at Warners though. Well i can now scrap my plan to get a hidef TV now |

CES 2008 updates and some good news ...
QUOTE Paramount/DreamWorks: "Still Supporting HD DVD" I think i can smell Iron-Man and Indiana Jones 5 on hd-dvd .. sweet ![]() Paramount/DreamWorks responded to Warner's shift to Blu-ray exclusivity today, saying that the studios have no plans to abandon the HD DVD format. Following Warner's shocking defection to Blu-ray last Friday, and the subsequent cancellation by the HD DVD Promotions Group of its planned CES media event Sunday night, speculation has run rampant regarding Paramount's next move, as well as the fate of any HD DVD title announcements they had originally planned for CES. High-Def Digest contacted Paramount for comment, and we were told by a spokesperson that despite the events of the past few days, "we are still supporting HD DVD," and that neither Paramount nor DreamWorks had any further statements on the matter at this time. As for any Paramount HD DVD title announcements originally planned for CES, at press time any such plans were "up in the air." Needless to say, we'll keep you posted. UPDATE: Universal will be supporting HD-DVD also. This post has been edited by XenoFr3ak: Jan 8 2008, 07:30 AM |

Terminator 2 Ultimate Edition will only be on HD-DVD this coming March 20, 2008
![]() It contains various snippets of what to expect while viewing the movie in high-definition via HD DVD. The video trailer was recorded and uploaded by David Mackenzie, a hardware reviewer at DVD Times.co.uk when he attended European HD DVD Promotional Group's IFA 2007 Press conference last year. According to the trailer, we can expect the director's cut of the film - a fully restored 1080/24p transfer coupled with dts-HD 7.1 audio - on the HD DVD. Plus, bonus materials including new interactivity and picture-in-picture features. Source: HD DVD Format Blog. This post has been edited by XenoFr3ak: Jan 8 2008, 09:50 AM |
