Microsoft officially dropped the XBox 360 add on MSRP to $129 from $179. Amazon put the add on on sale today for $79. the add on was then out of stock within hours

guess that there were additional several thousands HD DVD dedicated player owners in the USA today alone

the price reduction took affect immediately in USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand whoooohooo - a bunch of people will cry fall again with HD DVD hardware getting cheaper and cheaper - if it gets anymore cheaper, the BD fanbois will start buying them to play Transformers and Bourne and BrokeBack mountain too

Maybe they are trying to clear off the HD DVD players and disc inventory though. No offence, just a guess.

It should be more like they want every home to have a hd-dvd player, which plays all your dvds and the new hd-dvds at an affordable price.

The HD DVD players are so cheap from Amazon but . but I won't buy it because of the 110v but anyone knows if there is a shop that brings in the HK version of their Toshiba A3 (220v/240v) equivalent here to Malaysia?

Sadly no, guess we have to wait for Toshiba Malaysia to bring the latest model here. I still prefer getting a local model if the price is right and I'm not bothered whether blu-ray wins or not as I'm neutral, I support both formats as long as the players are affordable and have no playback problems, it's fine with me.
