For convenience, KUL-MEL-WLG will be the easiest. Flights to MEL are a-plenty. KUL-AKL-WLG isn't too bad. Don't be put off by KUL-BWN-AKL(a transit in BNE; not long, about 1 hr). It is one seamless trip, and you can check your bags through. While if you take Air Asia X down to MEL, you'd have to claim you bags and recheck-in for the MEL-WLG sector.

Education house eh? Hahaha, that is nothing bro, try staying somewhere further. The stairs may be steep but it will only take a while. I need 20 minutes uphill walk to the main campus
