QUOTE(6UE5T @ Jul 11 2020, 02:53 PM) That's a pity, at 15k km there's still plenty of life in them, at least another 25-30k km. Yeah, way too noisy. Travel on trunk road will end up tired and with some headache. Would you recommend wheel arch soundproof rather than swapping tyres? QUOTE(Jessieccy @ Jul 11 2020, 06:34 PM) No idea if it will be quieter than your performance tires... What i can say is ATM1 is very quiet. However the current ATM2 it's louder than ATM1, of course it has improved grip over it's predecessor. Grip wise, i think its comparable with Mich XM2+. Sound maybe Mich XM2+ is slightly less or same loudness. Of course these are premium, long life tires. Dont expect sporty. You want sporty and comfort quiet... Many say Mich Pilot sport tires, whichever version. Xm2 grip is worse than cc6. Xm2+ is better but by a bit only. Atm2 higher range but similar grip level?

I am very tolerant to noise (driving Evo with extreme category AD08R tires now and listening to heavy metal music), so I am the wrong person to ask about noise and insulation. Lol Last time also I used my F1D5 until bald at over 50k km on my Mark X. CC6 is already shit grip, cannot imagine if worse than that! Lol

Xm2 grip is worse than cc6. Xm2+ is better but by a bit only. Atm2 higher range but similar grip level? Wow, I didn't get to try CC6. I used to have CC5, dry was ok... But wet it was really shit. The only tires that is good at wet at that time was ATM1 plus it was quiet as well. That's how I end up using ATM, as my friend was using XM2. It was ok, good but not better than ATM1 at that time. XM2+ the noise level quieter than XM2. According to media post online by a lot of sites,, it seems there is improvement... But hey you are paying extra for XM2+for high milage durability (should last upto 100k km or more) it's bound to be less performance than ATM2 (60k I'm will start to be careful) I'm still using my ATM2, 10k km in it's going good for me. It grips well when cornering into those clover leaf highway merge/exit. Mind you I'm driving Almera, it's not good in handling.

Atm2 I read somewhere ppl say after some mileage, will have droning noise already.. I don't need durability ones, I swap my tires every 25-35k km

anyone using EfficientGrip Performance 2? Or it is a new tire and haven't reach Malaysia yet?
Been using PS3 / PS4 for the past many years. Those are very good performance tires but a bit noisy, so now looking for alternatives and come across this tire.

Clocked 40k but still pretty thick. Spirited driving every morning during weekdays. But less highway for me so maybe that's why it's thick.

I changed it about 40k km too. You will be pleasantly impress with ATM2, its an upgrade from CC5. It's rainy season, ATM2 grips way better in the wet than CC5 This post has been edited by Jessieccy: Jul 24 2020, 02:19 PM
