You can check their rate here I think 5p / min for Malaysia (I ring mobile not landline) http://www.lebara.com/

It's good to keep things simple but I only advise don't bring those rice, noodles and etc as they used up space and quite heavy I rather exchange them for clothing.

You can easily get wifi connection here but you will have to pay for the service. Like starbucks coffee their wifi is free provided you have the key. They use O2 as their provider so you need to have an wifi account with them. Just remember nothing is free here.

If you look scared when the customs question you, then sorry, they might send you back. Just be confident when they ask you questions.

prepare what you wanna say. better do some home work and read about Uk's happening and location where you wanna go.

normally they ask you lenght of stay then what you wanna do here in uk? Should you say tour....you better know the place and which hotel you heading to.

Dont just say tour...i don't know much but i am here to tour...!! Dangerous...then they will wanna see how much dough you have with you.
I suggest you bring business card along and all your credit cards along.

my 2 cents.

Yea, Actually im worry too. Cos i heard one of fren went to UK visit is gf. But unfortunely, he was sent back to M'sia. Mayb he brought less pounds. How much is the minimum? It is not worth if you send back by them and your tickets will be burn.

well, the key things are your itinerary and your return ticket. If you manage to tell them how long are you going to be there for, what's the purpose of such trip, information of accomodation/hotel (booking confirmation), places to visit (clear itinerary, including if you've booked any trips with the local agency if not your own plannings) and the return ticket & date, you will go through the immigration without any problem ! They never dwell into how much ££ you have ! Unless you've not a clue what you're going to do in the UK !

Still don't get it why there are so many being sent back, when you're here to visit.

I just asked the Visa Center and the officer told me the visa has been discontinued due to abuse by users.
I went in the year 2005.
