WHAT IS CLOUD MINING?

Cloud (or remote) mining – is the process of using hardware power to mine cryptocurrencies (such as Bitcoin or Litecoin) remotely.
This mining model came into existence due to the fact that the increasing difficulty of mining has made it unprofitable for mining enthusiasts to mine Bitcoins at home.

Cloud mining gives people a unique opportunity to begin mining cryptocurrencies without the need for a large initial investment in hardware or technical knowledge.
Despite the simplicity of the cloud mining model, it is worth elaborating on a few details, specifically it’s important to highlight that remote mining comes in two forms:
hosted or cloud based mining.

REMOTE HOSTED MINING

The first form of remote mining is remote hosting. This model suits users with a high level mining experience and know-how and who require a high degree of control
over their mining hardware. Under this model, the mining hardware is hosted in a remote datacentre and the user assumes full control over the setup and configuration.
Under this model, the miner pays a fee to the hosting company that would cover maintenance and electricity costs.
This helps the miner handle the risks associated with maintenance of the kit as well as any risks with the shipment of the hardware.
On the other hand, it presents the miner with risk on the initial hardware investment and requires much more time and technical knowledge to implement successfully.

It can therefore be summarized that the benefits of remote hosted mining are tight control over the mining process, maintenance support and subsequent ownership of the hardware.
The big drawbacks are risks associated with the procurement of expensive hardware and the very high cost of entry, both in terms of investment and technical expertise.

CLOUD MINING

The second, and more accessible model of remote mining is Cloud Mining, whereby a miner purchases a part of the mining power of hardware hosted and owned by a
Cloud Mining services provider.
The service provider takes on configuring the hardware, maintaining uptime and selecting the most efficient and reliable pools.

This option provides a range of benefits: instant connection (meaning no hardware shipment wait times and delivery risks), fixed maintenance and electricity fees and
no nuisances associated with mining at home such as noise, heat or space.
Another key point is that this model of cloud mining requires no technical experience. Obviously, it’s very important that miners understand the mining process.
However, this model doesn’t require hardware expertise or significant configuration / implementation cost.
Since customers can purchase any amount of mining power (hashrate) they wish, this means that the level of investment will depend only on the miners’ ambition.
This means that the cost of entry and subsequent risk is far lower than in comparison with the remotely hosted model.

Cloud mining is greatly suited for novice miners who would like to try out mining and earning cryptocurrencies as well as seasoned miners who don’t want the hassle or risks
of hosted or home-based mining.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF CLOUD MINING?

1. Mining commences immediately after purchasing a mining contract with the cloud mining service provider.

2. 24/7 round-the-clock mining operation. You don't miss out even one second of mining.

3. Daily payouts of cryptocurrencies.

4. Ability to re-invest accumulated payouts to purchase more mining power (hashrate).

5. A user account with 2FA authentication is provided to graphically monitor your daily payouts.

6. The mining dashboard can be used to change your wallet address, make withdrawals, make re-investments, change the allocated mining pools.

7. Can purchase new contracts anytime to supplement existing ones according to your affordability.

WHO ARE THE TOP-RANKED, REPUTABLE CLOUD MINING SERVICE PROVIDERS THAT WE CAN TRUST WITH OUR MONEY?

1. HashNest ----------- https://www.hashnest.com

2. Genesis Mining ----- https://www.genesis-mining.com

3. Bitcoin.com Pool --- https://pool.bitcoin.com

4. Hashing24 --------- https://hashing24.com

Obviously there are many more, but these are the top two I did my research on, and are highly recommended.

Here is my mining dashboard with HashNest

WARNING!!!

Like any other lucrative business venture, cloud mining can be very profitable, or it may not be,
depending on your mining contract terms, the coins you are mining, and the size and duration of the contract.,

Always invest with money you can afford to lose.

You do not have to monitor the mining output everyday. You should sit back and relax.

Your return on investment (ROI) can be longer than expected, or as fast as a few months to breakeven, if conditions are right.

Do not expect a STEADY income stream from your mining contracts. It is very irregular, with ups and downs on a daily basis.

You should be OK if your expectations are realistic.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PLEASE DO NOT POST REFERRAL AND DISCOUNT CODES OR EMBED REFERRAL LINKS.

IT IS AGAINST FORUM RULES AND REGULATIONS.

VIOLATION OF THESE RULES WILL RESULT IN THE SUSPENSION OF THE INDIVIDUAL.

THANK YOU.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WARNING --- HASHFLARE

Please avoid buying cloud mining contracts from Hashflare.

They have unscrupulously changed their existing Lifetime SHA-256 and Scrypt contracts to a limited 1-year.

All existing Lifetime contracts now expire on 31st August 2018!

This is a SCAM!

Go for Genesis Mining, HashNest, Bitcoin.com Pool, or even Hashing24.

There is also another one.

Not so profitable, but legitimate.

It is one of China's biggest mining pool.

There is one more legitimate cloud mining site.

It is Hashnest, which is operated by Bitmain. The largest ASIC miner manufacturer in the world.

On Hashnest, you can buy and sell mining contracts to increase your hashrate. smile.gif

There are 3 pools allocated to Scrypt mining.

They are Litecoinpool, F2Pool and LiteGuardian.

I leave it at the default setting of equal share among all 3 pools.

I seem to get the best mining output from this default setting.

This is something I don't understand.

Yesterday the Dash mining calculator showed that mining output is lower than today.

See today's output.

user posted image

Yesterday's output was 0.07431 based on a hashrate of 500 MH/s.

Today it shows 0.08776.

This means that the Dash mining difficulty has decreased today? unsure.gif

This Dash difficulty chart may explain why you are seeing variations in mining difficulty from day to day.

Heck, it even varies from minute to minute.

I have never seen a cryptocurrency behaving like this.

user posted image

Compare it with Bitcoin;s difficulty chart.

The Bitcoin chart shows no variations from day to day and minute to minute, unlike Dash. smile.gif

I just checked the pricing for the Dash (X11) mining contract with Genesis and Hashflare.
Your 2-year Genesis 500 MH/s costs USD2,250.
Hashflare only has 1-year contract. USD2,900 for 500 MH/s.
Genesis is very much cheaper.
Good choice, raynman. thumbsup.gif

Yes, Genesis pays out in Dash.

My Exodus wallet can store Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Decred, Augur, Dogecoin and Golem.

They will add more coins as we go along.

You need to do a backup of your private keys first, then it is safe to use.

It is very easy and has a very nice user interface.

Try it out.

USD 15 daily payout from USD 2182 investment is about 6% ROI. Very good, better than ETH.

This is because the ETH mining difficulty has increased tremendously recently, due to many people mining it.

Profitability has dropped almost 40% since the beginning of June. sad.gif

You can't use MEW to store Dash.

Better get a multi-coin wallet like Exodus and manage your coin portfolio there.

I love the Exodus user interface and it is so easy to use.

Hi all, I'm new to cloud mining. But got question before I venture further on payout. Basically how does payout works? Ultimately how do you withdraw those earnings into cash? Thanks.

Depend on which coin contract you are buying and you need to convert it into BTC and sell BTC in any exchanges like Luno and get MYR.

Let's say I purchased Dash contract from Genesis. The payout will be in Dash coins paid to my wallet, right? So, how do I convert it to BTC and sell it in an exchange?

Is there any other costs involved in maintaining the wallet, conversion to BTC and selling the BTC?

Thanks and sorry for the noob questions.

P/S: Ok, just watched the Exodus videos. Apparently, the software has a built in exchange and you can convert coin in it without hassle. Surely, there are % spread involved.

The built-in exchange called Shapeshift within Exodus is really very convenient.

No need to send your coins to a separate exchange to buy another coin and send it back to your wallet.

You need to create a Luno wallet, which stores bitcoins and Malaysian Ringgit.

Sign up with them to maintain an account.

They will ask for documents to verify your Malaysian identity and let you bank in and withdraw Malaysian Ringgit.

Then you can use your Malaysian Ringgit to buy and sell Bitcoins at their Luno exchange.

Lets assume I want to purchase 200MH/s Dash at Hashflare, cost about USD1,160. So based on cryptocompare, that will give about USD126.03 on monthly basis. So meaning I can withdraw ~MYR541 on monthly basis? Because I'm thinking to swap by credit card and convert to 0% installment plan, that will be around MYR415 monthly for 12months. What do you think? Any hidden fees that I'm not aware of from cloud mining perspective?

Thank you.

Ya. You are correct.

Bear in mind that the payout is daily term and you will receive your Dash to the wallet you specified and then you can convert it to BTC and sell to Luno and receive MYR.

The only concern you need to consider are

1. Mining difficulty
2. Prices of Dash and BTC which will affect your MYR either you receive lesser or higher.

Note:
Purchase via credit card - The first 30 days of the payouts will be withheld for security purpose and you can withdraw thereafter.

Based on 0.6% ROI, you will get back your investment by Day 167 but lets take 8 months on the conservative side due to the increase in mining difficulty. So from Month 9 to Month 24, the daily payout is your profit. But please do your own due diligence and research and stick to the golden rule in investing - only put in money you can afford to lose so it will not affect your current lifestyle. Happy cloud mining and good luck.

Thank you for your kind advice. I've few other investment in property and unit trust, now looking into this which I have to say very exciting. Since everything is digital, its literally just sit down and relax while money come in. So far I'm still assessing whether to go with cloud mining or purchase my own mining rig.

Yes.
You don't have to mess around to buy, assemble, configure, operate and maintain the mining hardware yourself.
If something goes wrong with any of the hardware components, it means downtime for you and will not be getting your payouts.
Cloud mining mines the coins 24/7 without downtime. You just sit back and collect money daily.
No need to worry about electricity costs, where to put the noisy and hot mining rig in your house. smile.gif

A USD30 cloud mining plan is very basic, but still OK for those who do not have a lot of funds to invest.
For small plans like this, don't ever go for bitcoin mining because the daily electricity/maintenace cost
they deduct from your daily will leave you with almost nothing.
And if the mining difficulty rises with time, the small payout cannot cover the MEF (Maintenance/Electricity Fees).

For small plans, better get those which do not charge MEF, like ethereum or dash mining.
No risk of terminating your contract because cannot pay MEF. Give it a try. smile.gif

Cloud mining is one of the many ways to invest in CC. The other being long term holdling for value appreciation, trading at exchanges, home mining with your own hardware and loaning out your coins at exchanges for daily interest.

The Genesis FAQ page has plenty of info. If you need any further info, the group here can help too.

Ok. So, Luno is another kind of wallet plus an exchange, more or less the same with Exodus? But Luno only supports Bitcoin, thus I still need Exodus for Dash, ETH etc.

Once I have Dash/ETH/BTC in Exodus, I can send it to Luno and withdraw from there. Right?

Yes, but you need to exchange your Dash and ETH to BTC first before sending it to Luno to cash out.

Exodus has a built-in exchange called Shapeshift which can do the coin exchange for you.

I got Genesis Ethereum mining contract 40mh/s but the output already decreased by 25% from last 2 week.

Is it recommended to switch to ETC for better profit? From the current price and difficulty, ETH is still more profitable. But as ETH difficulty increase exponentially and they moving to POS, i guess ETC might be more profitable in the long run.

I don't thiink you are allowed to change your plan to ETC as long as ETH is still mineable under PoW.

Genesis will migrate your plan to mine another altcoin of equivalent profitability when ETH goes PoS.

You can change to ETC in mining allocations. Actually in the mining allocation for Ethereum is Ethash, they have some coins bracket with (Auto).

Those (Auto) is actually mining ETH but they just convert ETH to pay you in your preferred coin based on exchange rate. Those without (Auto) is actually mining that real coins such as ETC in the Ethash mining allocation.

You can have a clearer picture here.

I understand.

The thing is, you are still mining ETH.

Just like my Hashflare Lifetime Bitcoin (Scrypt) Mining contract.

It actually mines Litecoin and convert them to Bitcoin at the prevailing LTC/BTC exhange rate.

If i choose ETC in the Ethash, i will still mining ETH then converted to ETC? Even without the (Auto) ?

But the video say is mining real coin for those without (Auto). Because ETH and ETC share many similarities, thats why can easily switch between those two.

Yes, it is possible to mine ETH because it shares the same mining algorithm ETHASH with ETH.

Scrypt (Litecoin) and SHA-256 (Bitcoin) cannot. They use different algorithm.

You can try to change the Genesis mining allocation and see what happens.

Please let uis know the result. smile.gif

Yes, for bitcoin mining allocation, you can switch from BTC to mine real coins such as UNO and ZET because they shared same algorithm.

Other coins in Bitcoin mining allocation with the wording (Auto) such as BTCD (AUTO), DASH (AUTO), LTC (AUTO), DOGE (AUTO) and ZEC (AUTO) is still mining BTC but then convert to your coin selection based current exchange rate for your daily payout.

You can play with other contract in the mining allocation. hmm.gif

Hi. Newbie in this. Planning to gradually buying the hash power from Genesis. For example this month I buy 24 months contract Dash 10MH/s, next month buy another 24 months Dash 10MH/s. Is it permissible? unsure.gif

Yes, this is the best way to grow your mining contracts exponentially.

You can add on new hashpower as and when you like (when you can afford to do so).

You will also extend the duration of your contract when you add new hashpower.

I have done it many times already.

Happy investing. icon_rolleyes.gif

The Genesis website still says that the Dash mining plans are on "limited supply" while stock lasts.
It is NOT out of stock.
Unfortunately I don't have sufficient funds to take up the 500 MH/s plan like raynman did. sad.gif
I wonder who else has subscribed for Dash mining. Anyone?

I'm putting the final touches to my spreadsheet of my cloud mining contracts to track daily payouts, ROI etc.

If anyone is interested, including potential investors, please PM and I'll share the download link to my cloud storage.

Hopefully it will be another tool to help you guys make up your mind. Cheers!

Didn't keep track.

I keep adding hashpower when funds become available from other contracts.

And I also re-invest a portion of the daily payouts to buy additional hashpower.

Total hashrate now is 770 MH/s

It is around USD59 per day or USD21K per year as per forecast,
if the mining difficulty and BTC price remains the same throughout.

I am a very conservative investor in all types of investment more so in this CC universe where the market is volatile.

To be honest I will be very happy even if takes a bit longer say 8 to 12 months. Anyway it's a lifetime contract. I'm OK with any legit investments that gives me decent returns as long as it is not a scam, money game or hurt other people's hard earned income.

p/s already received one PM for my spreadsheet. Copyright and trademark pending US patent no 1234567890. biggrin.gif

Don't really understand your question.

You signup using your email address eg yourname@yahoo.com. So any valid email address will do. Genesis will send a verification email to the email address that you use to sign up to confirm that it is you that actually sign up. A common practice for any website sign up procedure.

I would suggest Genesis Dash mining.
It is a 2-year contract with no maintenance/electricity fees.
The returns, according to raynman, is very good.
Pick a MH/s plan that you can afford. Sit back and enjoy! thumbsup.gif

A fixed time contract means that you will get a daily payout for the duration of the contract. No more than that. After that the mining hardware belongs to the cloud mining company. Applicable to alt coins mining like ETH, Dash. Monero and LTC which do not have any maintenance fees.

A life time contract or more accurately an open ended contract means you will receive a daily payout as long as it is more than the maintenance fees (electricity, cooling and upkeep cost). Even if it goes below that, the mining will continue for another 60 days in the hope that it is still profitable. If still in the negative, then the contract is terminated. Applicable for BTC mining.

Hope this helps.

In summary, you pay for cloud mining company to do mining for you and then they will transfer the payout to your CC Wallet daily. After contract end, no more payout to u.

QUOTE(HHCC @ Jul 4 2017, 05:34 PM)

Hope this helps.

so if I go for DASH mining, Genesis will pay me in DASH or btc?

what wallet do I need to get?

For alt coins mining, you can opt to have the daily payout in either that coin or BTC in which case the cloud mining company will do the conversion based on the altcoin/BTC prevailing rate. Personally I prefer to be paid in alt coin.

Just set the correct address for each coin in the wallet settings tab.

For Dash, most forumer here prefer a multi coin wallet like Exodus. Great interface. Easy to use. Secure. Shapeshift feature.

trying to start small with 5MH/s for DASH but always getting the error:

The daily limit for credit/debit card orders is $5,000 (up to $20,000 a month). Your current daily volume is $0 (monthly $0). For larger orders please click on the drop down menu to select a different payment method.

I tried to purchase Dash Mining Contract from Genesis, but apparently it no has a limit of USD100 daily limit.

But it only comes in the multiples of USD30, USD60, USD90, USD120 and so on. I can't select USD120 since it exceed the daily limit. But if I select USD90 contract, then I have to pay another USD5 extra (for transactions below USD100).

The Ethereum mining difficulty has increased 25% from 800T on June 20 to 1000T now.

This explains the lower daily payouts for ETH recently.

I have not experienced this situation before.

All my credit card purchases with Genesis go through with no problems.

Probably there was a problem with the Genesis Simplex CC payment gateway during that time.

Could you try again?

It is an ICO for GigaWatt tokens called WTT to acquire the rights to host your mining machines there.

You can either buy your own miners, or buy them from Gigawatt and they will host it for you.

You need to buy the number of tokens that correspond to the total wattage of your miners.

It is definitely not cloud mining.

You own the miners, not GigaWatt.

If you are looking at the GigaWatt website, the L3+ is out of stock.

It is actually not out of stock.

You have to buy WTT tokens first and contact their Support Team at support@giga-watt.com
telling them you want to buy the L3+.

I bought my two L3+ this way. biggrin.gif

I bought my Gigawatt WTT tokens a few days back.

You buy them according to the wattage of your miner/s.

The L3+ has a wattage of 800W. Plus 10% = 880W

For two L3+, the combined wattage is 1,760W.

I bought 2,020 tokens, enough to cover the 2 L3+.

The extra tokens I can rent them out to other miners who do not have tokens.

The WTT tokens cost me USD2,222 for 2,020 tokens.

The L3+ miners cost me 51 litecoins each, so a total of 102 litecoins.

Not 1 month la, around 2 to 3 months.

One L3+ miner with a hashrate of 504MH/s can mine about 0.8 LTC per day.

You do the math.

Realistically with the increase in mining difficulty of LTC, I give it 4 to 6 months when I receive my two L3+ in end-September.

In the bitcointalk forums, the L3+ owners are getting ROI in 2 to 3 months NOW.

I just bought 15MH/s Dash Mining at Genesis.

Using credit card, and it got immediately approved.

The mining has started, and the payout will be given on a daily basis, but I cant touch it yet for 30 days. Just can look at the balance.

Anyone care to share some insights on benefits of cloud mining vs holding coins?

Have about 2 btc now since I started trading last month with 0.4btc last month, interested to invest some in cloud mining and start earning some passive income. No need to keep an eye on the markets all day and less tiring. laugh.gif

I thought it would be almost the same?
Cause using cc, the exchange rate is higher than market.
Anyway I use 0.023 + 0.0003( withdraw fees from Luno Wallets) to buy the 10MH/s that cost usd 60.

If you want to buy bitcoins, go to Luno website. It is an exchange where you can buy bitcoins in RM.

What we're discussing here, is investing in a cloud mining contract, where you purchase a mining contract and the company will host the equipment and do the mining for you.

In return, you'll get the payout on a daily basis.

Not really same. I have made such comparison before.

They request higher BTC + Demand/Supply of BTC in Luno are traded at premium price above USD.

The cc fee + 1% markip fee charged by VISA/MASTER are still cheaper than using BTC. biggrin.gif

Using CC and convert to instalment plan is depending on your bank. Check if they have such instalment with 0% interest.

I am not too sure whether the trading in PLBT is real or a simulation.

Anyway, the ICO will be closing very soon.

The PLBT tokens are already in my Polybius wallet, but I can't touch them until after the ICO closes.

I have no idea, but the private keys of our coins are encrypted with a 12-word pass phrase,
which is used to recover our coins in case of any problems.

That is real not simulation, below are FAQ for the ICO at HitBTC. People are buying IOU ("I owe you")

What is an ICO?
ICO is a form of crowdfunding, used by startups. Imagine a team of developers who are working on a new promising project. They might need to raise money from public, so they create their own cryptocurrency. Those who want to support the project, would buy this currency posession rights during the initial crowdsale phase.

It’s very important to understand that during this phase new coins don’t exist yet, people are buying IOU (“I owe you”) - not the coins themselves, but the obligations. As soon as fundraising phase is over, IOUs are being issued - transformed into usual tokens.

What exactly does HitBTC provide?
Check out the “ICO” tab in the “Instruments” section on our exchange. You are able to buy IOU directly on our exchange and store them on your HitBTC account. As soon as tokens are released, you’ll be able to trade, deposit/withdraw them – it’s exactly the same deal as with every other coin.

Don't really understand your question.

You signup using your email address eg yourname@yahoo.com. So any valid email address will do. Genesis will send a verification email to the email address that you use to sign up to confirm that it is you that actually sign up. A common practice for any website sign up procedure.

u need to set the wallet address accordingly in genesis, you can copy the wallet address you have from exodus. (choose the correct crytocurrency).
so that the payout will be sent to your exodus wallet.

You have until end of July to purchase the required tokens to host your miners.

The price of the token will go up 5 cents every 2 weeks from now.

Because the Antminer L3+ is priced at 51 litecoins, the price will go up as the price of litecoin rises day by day.

GigaWatt is a very good deal.
We purchase and own the miners, but we have mining professionals to handle maintenance of the machines round-the-clock.
We just pay 2.8 cents per KwH and 0.5 cents for maintenance per day per miner.
They will make sure the 4 hashboards in your L3+ keep running 24/7, and if they fail, they have spare hashboards on standby under the 180-day warranty.
If out of warranty, we just pay for the spares at cost. No extra charges.

Unfortunately for me, unlike raynman, I do not have sufficient funds available right now for this GigaWatt project. sad.gif

Yes, you can just buy WTT tokens for trading on HitBTC exchange,
or rent them out to other miner owners who don't have the tokens.

Unfortunately for me, unlike raynman, I do not have sufficient funds available right now for this GigaWatt project.  sad.gif

Do you get it now?

True.

Miners do fail when running 24/7.

It is the job of the maintenance team to rectify the fault and get it up and running ASAP.

That's why they cannot guarantee 100% uptime.

Go to cryptonomos website and sign up for an account.

So if I want to have 1 x L3, i would need at least 880 tokens + 51 LTC...

Man what's a good way to get the LTC? The L3 is selling at USD2.7k, seems like LTC is cheaper, but I have none biggrin.gif

im keen on getting some ltc too, but did a quick looked around and there is not much info on this gigawatt, saw his youtube farm etc... not much people are saying much about WTT.

Im actually leaning on to buy the l3+ from bitmain themself and ship it from us to malaysia and mine myself,
just scared this gigawatt is some vaporware.

what are your thoughts?
i admit i have only done quick research on gigawatt,
genesis mining is no problem for me its reputable.

To join GigaWatt, I have to:

1) Purchase L3+ antminer for 51 LTC
2) Purchase 880 WTT token in order to host my miner at their storage facility?

So total cost will be 51 LTC plus 880 WTT tokens?

I have done my research and due diligence on GigaWatt.

I have full confidence in their mining operations under the capable leadership of Dave Carlson, the 2017 Entrepreneur of the Year.

I have just received word from their Sales Department that my payment for my two L3+ miners have been received and is now being processed.

So, if I got limited funds, I purchase WTT tokens first and rent it out.

Then, when I can purchase the L3+ in the next couple months, then I can use the tokens to pay for the hosting service?

And this 880 tokens can cover the cost for 50 years of hosting?

880 token cover costs of hosting, electric, setup and maintenance of the miner for 50 years?? hummm
i dont get how they work? that is supper cheap maintenance fee? or is it expected that the token price to increases in future?
is token tradable like crypto?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1914900.0

it states:
"Each Giga Watt Token (WTT) represents the right to sue the Giga Watt processing center's capacity, rent-free for 50 years, to accomodate 1 Watt's worth of mining equipment power consumption."

= sounds like rent, host, electricity, maintenance free for 50 years to me.
but then....

it states:
"Usually, Giga Watt charges hosting fees which covers the rent of facility capacity, and electricity and maintenance.
Token owners pay no rent, which further slashes ongoing cost."

token owners pay no rent, what about electricity and maintenance on my hardware? i guess the electricity is going to be the biggest cost.

assume they sell all 30m tokens for USD1.1 = they will have 33mil is enough for them to pay/rent land, build pods, and pay for electricity + maintenance for 50 years??
what if electricity cost doubles in his area in the next 2 years?

for 880 tokens = USD968 assume i mine for 2 years only, that is USD 40 a month how is that going to cover their cost of rent/electricity? thats only 2 years not 50 year
if 50 years its only USD1.6 a month?
Am I missing something????

Read it properly.

The WTT token only covers RENTAL.

Tokens are effective for 50 years.

We pay for electricity at 2.8 cents per KwH.

We pay for maintenance fees at 0.5 cents per KwH.

Electricity and maintenance fees are deducted from the daily mining payout.

Electricity rates are the cheapest in the world.

7.5 cents for electricity and maintenance is only for those without tokens.

For those with tokens, the total electricity and maintenance is 3.3 cents per KwH.

The difference of 4.2 cents is for RENTAL of the facility, which token owners do not need to pay.

For info.

One of our member has bought a L3+ directly from Bitmain to mine in his own house. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Chelsea-Fan @ Jul 5 2017, 11:03 PM)
I just bought Antminer L3+ 504 Mh/s from Bitmain today.  biggrin.gif

Antminer L3+ = 40 LTC / $ 2136
PSU              = $115
Shipping DHL = $ 91.08
Total              = $ 2342.08

Shipping out date Sept 21 to 30

Previous July batch was only $ 1370. They jack up the price to $2100 because LTC price had increased and become profitable.

You can buy now at cheaper price because LTC price drop slightly compared to this morning.

Now I know why we are unable to buy Dash contracts. Limit to USD90 per day (next increment is USD120).

Anyway, my conclusions

1) their CS dept response time is very good - less than 24 hours which in turn reflects the standing of the company
2) even if you scream "please take my money" they will not (so is Genesis a scam, a Ponzi scheme?)
3) demand for Dash contracts are being snapped up like nobody's business especially by one forumer here whom I shall not named biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I am just not feeling it for GW mining even after reading their whitepaper and doing some research. Will give it a pass. My war chest not very big anyway unlike 3 guys here whom I shall not named again biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

*
Ok raynman thanks for the clarification re electric cost 3.3c is cheap, honestly i have read that site https://cryptonomos.com/wtt few times yesterday, too much reading yesterday, still blur.

Ive done more reading since today
now just to use this link as a case study, im still confused,
https://cryptoinsider.com/good-true-intervi...r-dave-carlson/

First of all in the artical I lol so hard when i saw the pictures of signboard,
"Bought pizza for 5k bitcoins in 2010
Worht $3.5 mil now.
Most expensive chow of my life."

ok back to business
their example is running a 3x S9 @ 1455Watt each (daily hosting fee savings on 4365 WTT tokens when accommodating own miners.)
running a 3x S9 @ 1455W (1.1 * 1323W) web calculator
electricity for 4365W at USD 0.0033 per day $3.46
electricity for 4365W at USD 0.0033 per month $103.71

https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calcul...ostPerkWh=0.033

how did they come up with daily hosting fees ($10.21) ??

*
4365W for 3 S9 miners = 4365/1000 = 4.365 kWH
One day = 24 hours = 4.365 x 24 = 104.76 kWH

user posted image

For 3 S9 miners, the daily hosting fee is 9.75 cents per kWh.

Therefore 104.76 x 9.75 = 1,021.41 cents = $10.21

What you guys are going through is a typical use case for smart contracts - to eliminate the need for trust, middlemen and escrow accounts. All the terms are hard coded/programmed and to self execute once the conditions are met. A wallet app with a smart functions to send to your respective addresses according to your shares.

Maybe a multi-signature wallets will do too but I personally do not have any experience using one.

How to buy one Antminer L3+ from GigaWatt with 880 WTT tokens.

WTT tokens are always available for sale on the cryptonomos website until the ICO ends on 1st August.

You send bitcoin to the bitcoin address of your cryptonomos account.

Then you buy the 880 tokens by clicking the "BUY" button.

After buying the tokens, send an email to support@giga-watt.com that you have bought 880 tokens,
and you would like to purchase one L3+.

If stock is available, they will send you an email telling you to pay 51 litecoin into the given LTC wallet ID.

Send 51 LTC into the given LTC wallet ID.

After the send, email the support team again telling them you have paid for the L3+

They will send you a payment acknowledgement email for your safekeeping.

Good luck to those who are seriously considering investing in remote mining with GigaWatt. icon_rolleyes.gif

Wow.. I was thinking to ask you write the procedure and you have done it.

About the token, why must buy 880 to cover 50 years fee? Can buy per year basis.

Any affiliate link so you can earn commission or I get discount?

The tokens' lifespan is fixed at 50 years.

You cannot buy 25 years or 3.7 years.

There are no affiliate codes available with GigaWatt.

One token is currently $1.10 (lasts for 50 years).

Next week it will increase another 5 cents and the following week again another 5 cents.

The longer you wait, the more expensive the token becomes.

The reinvest function will use your bitcoin payout to automatically buy additional hashrate at the current price of bitcoin.
It will do it automatically everyday if your daily payout is big enough to purchase 1 MH/s.
You have to stop the reinvest function manually, otherwise it will continue reinvesting your payouts into additional hashrate.

I only need 1,760 tokens to host my two L3+.

But we must wait until the ICO ends on 1st August.

1. You get cheaper LTC hence lower your purchase cost or vice versa

Good idea.

Your tokens won't be wasted.

You can rent them out to miner owners who need tokens to host with GigaWatt.

You can trade them for BTC on the HitBTC exchange.

It depends.

If the 21 to 30 Sep batch (my batch) is sold out, you have to wait for the next batch.

GigaWatt orders their mining equipment from Bitmain in China.

This announcement from GigaWatt just came in to my mailbox.

It is imperative that you buy the WTT tokens.

Then talk about buying the L3+ miners later.

Very nice. smile.gif

I noticed you set your mining pool to only LifeGuardian.

Have you experimented with the pool allocation and find that this is the best for you.

I am still at the default setting. Equal share among all three pools.

The next batch of L3+ (shipping from Bitman on 10 October) is now available for sale at the GigaWatt website.

Please make sure you have purchased your 880 (or more) WTT tokens first before filling up your L3+ order.

You have to check the "I've purchased tokens" box before you click "Request" to submit your order to the Sales Department.

Obviously the mining difficulty of ANY coin will increase with time.

How to give you precise figures?

But for BTC and LTC, the mining difficulty will reduce after a halving event every four years.

Of course Gigawatt electricity cost is the cheapest in the world at only $0.028 per KwH.
In Malayia, it is RM0.516 per KwH.
You do the math.

Of course.

The L3+ is a money printing machine which can ROI in less than three months by mining Litecoin.

That's why it is more profitable to buy Scrypt because the maintenance/electricity fees (MEF) is higher for SHA-256.

Yes, you just leave them in cryptonomos.

They will transfer to GigaWatt once the ICO is ended and the tokens distributed.

jack2,

I advise you NOT to import the L3+ from Bitmain and mine litecoins by yourself.

You can't put it in your house with that vacuum cleaner noise running 24/7.

It will drive you and your family crazy.

If there are any component failure like ASIC hashboards, even if during the 180-day warranty period,
your miner will be down until youl receive the replacement from Bitmain. How long will that take?
Do you know how to install the components yourself? What if it doesn't power up after that?
Who are you going to call for help?

With GigaWatt, you don't have to worry about component breakdown. They have all the spares in-house
and their engineers will get your L3+ up and running in no time.

The purpose is to sit back and collect money everyday, not to mess around with hardware and cope with the noise.

Hashflare Scrypt and SHA-256 both got pro and cons and both actually payout the same as i bought both with same amount

Scrypt Pro i can think of is ...lower maintenance fee. Cons ....if litecoin price drop then less profitable

SHA-256 Pro doesnt affect by price as it mine bitcoin itself. Cons ... if difficulty increase and it would be the first to get out of contract as the maintenance fee is 3 times higher than Scrypt

For now i would pour in Scrypt but the price of 1MH/s cost 13.5USD ....you see their offer price last time its only like 6.5usd

One more thing about this cloud mining that i notice is start with a big capital then keep reinvesting to shorten the ROI then only start taking the profit

But if the cloud mining turn out to be scam you also die faster lol

Yes. It is a lifetime contract with the most profitable returns.

It actually mines litecoin, and Hashflare converts the litecoin to bitcoin at the prevailing LTC/BTC exchange rate.

It's also possible the payout got prorated.
Will know more on the second payout.
For sure it'll reflect 24hours mining.

hmmm Genesis Mining SHA-256 is different .....if you allocate to other coins it will payout to that coins. It will still mine Bitcoin then exchange to that coins and payout to your wallet.

I'm on litecoin for a month and litecoin payout start decreasing because the price of litecoin increase ..... i might switch back to bitcoin again soon

You can buy 880 tokens first. Book your space. Token sales ends on 1st August.

Later when funds become available from your cloud mining project, dump it on the L3+.

This is what I would do if I were you. smile.gif

Remember you can rent out your tokens to other miner owners who don't have tokens.

You are generating income from the rental until you are ready to buy the L3+.

But need to wait at least few months to get it delivered.

I have made comparisons against genesis, hashflare and gigawatts.

If count from now and the waiting period for gigawatts is 3 months (i.e. Oct 10), you only start to get payout and need 2 months to BE.

If you invest now with Hashflare or Genesis, your payout is started immediately and it needs 5-6 months to BE.

So at this point, the BE is same but thereafter, L3+ is giving you 1.8% ROI whereby genesis or hashflare is just 0.4-0.6% based on the same investment value.

In long run, Gigawatts is winner. rclxs0.gif

What's your main reason going for gigawatts instead of hosting at your own house? I'm struggling to see the rationale behind it considering cost of token itself is on the high side. Is it maintenance of the miner itself and uncomfortable with the noise level?

Maybe you all should get a Citibank credit card and subscribe to online banking. I am not sure about other banks but Citibank is almost instant you can see your pending transaction in their online banking. Meaning the moment you transact with your card, be it over the web or over the counter in retail stores, you login your online banking and you see that transaction there already. Which is useful in this sense. So far, I have CIMB, MBB, RHB, none of these can do it. Not sure of other banks.

Those who buy from Bitmain directly to host the L3+ in their home have never heard an ASIC miner in operation. biggrin.gif

Not only the damn noise.

Who are you going to call for help if there is a component failure in the L3+, even if it is within the 180-day warranty period?

Do you know how to diagnose what the problem is, so that the correct spare part can be ordered form Bitmain in Beijing.

How long will the spare part take to ship and arrive at your house.

Do you know the proper procedure to install the spare part?

What if after installing, the L3+ fails to power up?

There are so many unknowns.

By subscribing to GigaWatt we can rest assured that if there is any component breakdown with our L3+, there are professional
engineers with ready spare parts in-house to sort out the problem with minimum downtime.

This is what we are paying the $0.005 per KwH maintenance fee for. Peace of mind.

Your L3+ delivery date is the same as mine.

So we start printing money at the same time. biggrin.gif

They will enable the Mining Dashboard on their website after installation of the L3+ so that we can
monitor their performance and daily LTC payouts.

Due to insufficient fund, I plan to buy the WTT tokens and rent it out only. May I ask is the rental fee fixed? According to the calculator, if I rent out 880 tokens, I can only earn monthly income of $40.8 based on the highest rental fee of 6.45¢/kW/h. Shouldnt I invest that amount of money to cloud mining to earn more unless I plan to buy a miner machine from them in the future? Or I should speculate that the price WTT token will definitely increase in the future and I can sell it to another sellers who are interested if I am no longer plan to rent those tokens out?

Cloud mining has inherently higher risk than investing in tokens for rental income.

If you are risk-adverse, it is better you buy the 880 tokens for rental income.

As a token owner, you have the privilege of hosting a L3+ anytime you have the funds available to buy one.

Without tokens, you definitely cannot host any miners at GigaWatt. Period.

Yes, your 880 tokens can fetch an annual income of around USD500, or ROI in slightly less than 2 year.

Or you can trade your WTT tokens for bitcoin at the HitBTC exchange when it is listed after 7th August.

https://hitbtc.com/exchange/WTT-to-BTC

It is up to you to decide what is best.

Then again, if you are mining bitcoin, it depends whether your contract is mining directly with SHA-256 or SCRYPT.

If SCRYPT, then no worries because you are actually mining litecoin and gets converted to bitcoins by buying them on an LTC/BTC exchange.

If you are mining using SHA-256, it depends on which chain of the hard fork your bitcoin is mined on.

So complicated. tongue.gif

Ok I believe this has gone on long enough. It's fine if you have our own opinion on whatever type of mining that you are invested in but to invade another thread to prove your point is where the line has to be drawn. Everywhere has their own reasons on what type of investments they choose to invest in. For cloud mining investors, you already have your own dedicated thread. if your sole purpose to post here is to argue why cloud mining is better then by all means do so in your own thread. We do not need such things here.

Same as SCRYPT, No worries.

You are still using the X11 algorithm to mine DASH, then converted to bitcoin by buying BTC on the DASH/BTC exchange.

Buying WTT tokens from the Cryptonomos website should be instantaneous.

Here are my WTT tokens bought at Cryptonomos.

How did you pay for the tokens?

By USD wire transfer or bitcoin?

I paid by bitcoin by sending them to the bitcoin wallet address in Cryptonomos.

And what do you mean by "waiting confirmation link from Cryptonomos"?

sorry for the confusion...
I already filled all info, the screenshot is I used the white line to block all personal infos.

name, email, phone is already filled since early of registration.

and when click on sending confirmation email, nothing came into mail box.

and the status said "Confirmation link sent."

no matter how many times I reclick the confirmation link, it is still the same...without any error such as ask me to complete all infos (which I did).

also currently moving funds to Luno wallet...
