Oh wow. Gotta say thanks Liverpool for bidding Ox together with CFC. Good pals, helped take away a cursed English player. Very lucky we didn't have Ox.. Klopp looks lost with this kid.

Klopp's pre-match press conference vs Leicester City (BPL):

Lovren hasn’t trained because of a back problem.
QUOTE
“It’s as difficult as it always is with injuries, nothing major but it was enough to keep him out two games,” Klopp said of Lovren.

“He’s not in training so far, so that means he’s also a doubt for the weekend.

Matip and Can are also doubts for Saturday.
QUOTE
“The same with Joel Matip and Emre Can, they also have little bits from the last game [vs. Burnley].

“So we have to see, hopefully they can be back in training today, or at least tomorrow, but we have to wait.”

Klopp in ‘no doubt’ about Oxlade-Chamberlain’s quality.
QUOTE
“That’s the world of football. It’s quite quick (criticism). He had a few good situations and a few unlucky situations. He did really well in the moments he is trying to adapt to the style of play.

“I can imagine (criticism). He didn’t make the best game in his life so people ask.. but I’m not in doubt.”

Reds boss defends the character of his side.
QUOTE
“It sounds like we have no points and are completely the worst team in the league,” he said.

“Yes we have problems, that is why we ‘only’ have eight points and not 15. We can make it more serious than it is or we can take it like it is.”

“I understand 100 percent [why] we sit here and talk about the things that have happened,” he added.

“I know already about all these problems—or ‘not problems’—and I’ve made my decision already how to work with it.

“But if I talk a lot about it I only create headlines ‘Klopp says this. Klopp says that’ and it doesn’t help us.

“We have work to do but that would be the same if we had 15 points, only it would feel different but it would be the same.

“We conceded first goal against Seville and responded really well, we conceded the first goal against Burnley and responded really well.

“I would prefer not to concede the first goal to be honest.

“This is the long part of a three-game week from Tuesday to Saturday so we have one more session. We can use it but we have to prove it on Saturday.”

“Yes we have the right characters. Yes sometimes we react really well, sometimes we don’t react perfectly,” he added.

“That is how it always is and we can improve on each part of our game. Character is nothing fixed.

“Someone says you cannot improve on this, you cannot change your mentality but of course you can. You only have to get used to it.

“If we take the right information from the things we have done so far then it always helps and that is what I try to help the players with.

“As long as we stay in the game, as long as we do what we good at we are a threat for each team.

“Only in the moment when we change these things then it becomes a problem.”

Klopp admits that the Reds have conceded soft goals and are not clinical enough.
QUOTE
“The difficulty of our situation is that we're playing well but we don't score enough so far,” he said.

“We have to create these moments and a lot of things are working really well with our opponents struggling to defend against us.

“But it was too easy for them to then make an impact in the game with one situation. We can all expect that we're better in the situations around the goals.

“Take the first goal, we have to push up in that situation. Joe (Gomez) decided to step up and then stepped back again so there was no offside and then we lost the challenge.

“We need to be more concentrated and at the same time keep our good shape and be more clinical.

"We are still fluent and creative but we don't score and that's the problem. It's important I help the players with staying positive and changing the right things. We are still in a good moment.

"It's about concentration but also readiness. The second ball situation. We have been much better with defending the first ball from set-pieces.

"Everyone wants to help where the first ball is. We come too close together and that means for the second ball we don't have a good formation. We really work on this.

Leicester will be a different team - Vardy is key.
QUOTE
“Leicester has a typical style of play. They couldn't play like this (on Tuesday) because Jamie Vardy is a key player for that type of play and so is (Riyad) Mahrez.

“It was different but we know how Leicester play usually. They are really quick after they win the ball and pass it in behind.

“We need to involve useful aggression and greed. We need to fight for the result.”

Emre Can passed fit for #LFC trip to Leicester - but Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip both miss training again.

Since signing, Lovren's missed 37 of Liverpool’s 119 Premier League games. He's started just 11 under Klopp consecutively.

This is why I laugh at people who thinks signing just VVD alone is enough to solve our problems at CB. Matip and Lovren are injury prone enough as it is, adding the fact that Lovren and Klavan aren't even good enough to begin with. We should really be looking to add more than just VVD.

with Can keep delaying signing new contract, it almost obvious he would be joining juv next summer. juv is a serie A champion and consistently perform well in ucl, joining them is a big step to his career.

Come Liverpool

The past is not a burden. When we had extraordinary talent in recent times who scores goals admirably

Torres

Suarez

And who the hell complains Liverpool were boring even back then. We were attacking with intent & defensively strong.

Made me think of the time when we are under King Kenny. I am one of the few fans who thinks he should never get sack. Tbh, the Liverpool under him is entertaining to watch, I feel that if he was given more time and given the authority in signing his own players, it will be alot different. Oh yea Comolli you sucks.

totally agreed. he's actually the one who started our current play style. pass and move, possession football. we created so many chances at the time but was let down by a poor conversion rate. but everyone knows he was appointed just to steady the ship, a popular choice for the new owner to win the heart of Liverpool fans and somehow to improve the team morale after the damage done by uncle woy. never really a long term candidate so the sacking was inevitable. But believe it or not he's the last one to lift a trophy for us. real legend.

After the 'debacle-of-transfers' under "Comolli", I find it difficult to put everything on his shoulders to blame. It was Kenny Dalglish who favored more English talents over continental players. It was echoed by fowler too to support getting English talents. Comolli only put forth the English talents out there & negotiated the transfers.

To me, Dalglish "sacking" wasn't the lack of returns on our playing or trophies (he is our last manager to win something) but FSG being FSG dislike the manner Kenny Dalglish handled the Suarez controversy (over the entanglement with the "name calling" issue) it was a PR nightmare & FSG wanted face after heavy lashing from English press

You then see the transitions from Dalglish to Brendan Rodgers, there are strong hands to keep the club from being not "English enough". After of course the things did not work as well, now there are some kuku birds out there now wanting Gerrard to take over Klopp over the supposedly LFc "slump"

Matip and Lovren passed fit for trip to Leicester.

Meanwhile some story claimed leaked e-mail from LFC and Barca that LFC tell Barca stop harassing Coutinho as LFC will not sold Coutinho.
