for your info there already got one guide to open ,clean & adjust lens ps2 made by snipersnake on ps tech thread but is good you made other one,it will make people more clear .

yes
you still can play game with hdloader.
but you need Modchip that have Dev1 OR dev2 , matrix infinity(and it clone),dms and crystal chip.
dev1 = boot elf from memory card
dev2 boot elf from HDD.
you can pm ekai for this chip

my ps2's lense died nearly a year already..now i m playing games via dev1 using hdloader.. but no cb9 support la..siow.. still can play consider oklah.

how much is the average price for a slim ps2? i had a fat ps2 for a long time but sold it early this year (i thought i could buy a wii with the money, but oh well...).

Wah.. Even though I don't know what's a CB9, but I think if the PS2 still can work, then it's all good.

New slim PS2? Around RM500-RM700, depending on what you want in your package.

cb9 is codebreaker 9. some kind of cheat software for ps2..

Oo.. I think I can then safely assume that the compatibility of CB9 depends on the modchip.
