greetings,
had a problem with my ps2 (slim type) around 2 years ago but only decided to seek help now.. Noticed that sometimes my CDs are "scratched" by the PS2... not sure how it can happen but i got a feeling it could be because of some issues with the "eye"/lens... I might be wrong though... Basically sometimes my disk would be have like a round scratch like a ring (because the CD is spinning in the PS2 when it is scratched).... and needless to say the cd wont be able to be read anymore... Does anyone know what the problem is? many thanks... |

Hey guys, how come when I play battlefront on ps2 on my samsung hd tv looks worse than I play it on my old sony sd tv?
The samsung one I bought last year around october, whilst the sony sd tv I bought back in 08 but sadly it broke last year and got replaced by the samsung hd tv. I play ps2 exclusively for battlefront only as my ps3 has no backwards compatibility and I don't know where to find ori copies of the game. |

dear gurus,some ps2 + lcd monitor questions wanna ask~
method found from internet are: 1) buy a component to vga converter cable 2) buy a lcd monitor which support sync on green(sog) 3) an Xploder HDTV Player dvd - connect ps2 component to the converter cable, then connect to the lcd which support sog - turn on ps2,change screen output to RGB - activate Xploder HDTV Player n press triangle button - press start to exit n start playing game so my questions are: 1)is tis possible to use tis method on LG e2350T?cant find whether e2350t supports SOG or not from LG official website 2)can i find the cable from digitalmall? 3)does tis methods really works? currently look for a lcd use for pc+ps2+ps1+ps3(in future),lcd tv still out of my budget so look for a lcd monitor which is cheaper n better then now(playing games on composite on non flat 21"tv thx in advance~ This post has been edited by terry-k: Jan 18 2011, 06:57 PM |

Hey got a new lcd tv recently, realized like the others have posted, the visual was not as good as it was on a crt tv.
Anything i can do about it? Using a slim ps2 with a yellow white red cable. Saw a digital out outlet, does it help much on a hdtv? Many thx... |

Dear PS2 gurus,
I'm a fan of the Japanese game Super Robot Wars.. And since I believe that this game is not popular among malaysians(or even in any other country for that matter!), its quite tough trying to look for this game.. Does anyone know where i can get this game instead of having to resort to buying it online from sites like ebay? |

QUOTE(Maximillian88 @ Jan 26 2011, 03:52 PM) Dear PS2 gurus, If it's not available here then you'd have to import, no other choice. SRW series seems to be quite affordable as time goes by, sometimes only costs a few dollars each, but usually in the $10~$20 range.I'm a fan of the Japanese game Super Robot Wars.. QUOTE(earthling1984 @ Jan 26 2011, 07:16 PM) Get something that can convert component/RGB signals to VGA, then add SLG3000 a piece of new hardware just released less than a week ago. For converter you can use anything, but make sure the VGA output is 640x480. HD Box Pro was a good choice, but the latest batch comes with 800x600 minimum output resolution. For more info on SLG3000 you can see them here http://bencao74.blogspot.com/2010/12/slg-3...g-3000-and.html |

Many thx... the yellow-red-white is a composite cable being the yellow as video and red-white as the stereo you can try buying a component cable or even a s-video which can improve the visual alot with the sharpness in the alphabet characters but the blockiness is really down to the game since each game is coded differently, so those small rez game will feel awful blown up in a hi-rez big-sized LCD |
