wht ar the age suitable for take one mre sg? 1year? er?
Once bonded you can get a 2nd glider. Stick with females loh since you already have a female, trust me, it is much much easier. Normally after 3 months, you can get another glider....

Haha, Chloey loves pink...

Let her be more familiar with you before doing bra/inside shirt bonding, scared she's not use to it and might wanna run out.
Once you can successfully put your hand in the pouch without her crabbing at you, than you know you have gained something

Tsk, tsk, tsk... Sorry to say, but I hate it when people ask about 'are they hard to breed...' Gives me the impression of impulse breeding...
I must say here that if you intend to breed them properly with the aim to achieve good, healthy and quality joeys, YES, they are HARD to breed because the food intake and proper housing has to be taken seriously.
I think I have mentioned before about it is best to get same sex pair to prevent breeding. Stick to female+female or male+male. Unless you can get neutered male + female. It is best for both the owner and suggies.
A lot needs to be taken into consideration before breeding suggies. So please reconsider even if you say "when I have them long enough, sooner or later wanna breed them."
Ask more questions if you must and we'll try our best to guide you.
Hun, yes, in general gliders breed twice a year. BUT, for captive gliders, they CAN actually breed all year long. It may not be as frequent as hammies, but it can be more than twice a year. It's a proven fact for all captive animals that they breed more often in captivity than in the wild or nature. I'll search back the information about this and share with you.

Quoted from Jennifer of Pet Sugar Glider : "Shortly after the joey comes out of pouch, the parents may decide to mate again. It is possible for her to give birth to a new joey and while nursing one that is out of pouch.
Another one that says about breeding all year long is from Glider University if not mistaken.
Actually whenever your 1st one is bonded, it should be okay. The sooner the better, so that the age gap will not be a problem.

I think it depends on the environment too. So far, I hear homebreeders only having joeys twice a year..... I think this is more like average lah. Maybe there are rare cases where they breed 3 to 4 times a year.

You can search in GS or buy from petshops, just make sure that they are NOT too young...
Most breeders also are commercial breeders, you can't take their word for word too because I have found that most of their practise also appx. 70% wrong.
Search back on the few pages in this thread for ref on why NOT to get them too young and how they look like.

Added on August 23, 2007, 1:02 pmYou can bring them anywhere you like while they're sleeping. Just avoid too loud places like concerts and such. Movies have been proven okay once you're suggie is used to that level of noise.
If you're suggies are inseparable, you can bring both, no harm.
If you imagine taking your suggie for a stroll in the park while them perched on your shoulder, think twice, they might just hop off you and explore the whole park. Always carry them in safe pouches.

So true.... the suppliers here are selling away joeys as young as 3 weeks OOP also got..... kesian the joeys. Then after full research, gliders are sensitive to lactose so the only milk which we can feed them is Pets Own, an Australian brand but only limited shops sell this.
