Or just google for it. There are many versions so search carefully.
But if you start blending things up, you will need a fridge to store it too. You can't blend it in small portion.

You can search for Leadbeater's mix if you want to blend some things up. It can be found in the same website you search for the rep-cal and vionate

I'm afraid anything fresh you blend will not even last 1 day.
If you feed anything at night, you must remove any leftover the next morning cuz it will be rotten and make your glider sick if they eat it. Don't add mealworm or cricket to the blend, it will spoil everything faster and make the blended stuff smellier. I think it is better not to the blending thing before you get a fridge. KP Added on May 22, 2007, 12:58 pmBtw, you can look for those mini fridge at almost any electrical store, be it malacca or KL. Go out and survey what fits your budget. We can't help you in that area. It'll cost you a few hundred. KP This post has been edited by krynzpeaches: May 22 2007, 12:58 PM |

Jon, check your post. Pls delete any double post.
Okay, let me ask you, the dog kibble, cat food & baby cereal in where??? Look at the amount used and the brand also. You cannot simple use any type cuz some dog kibble contains onion and such. It's in a mix and the amount is very little. It's blended with a lot of other stuff. Little amount like this blended together should be okay. NOT given by it's own. This is what everyone here is saying about. Do you know that gliders cannot take too hard food? It can lead to acondition called Lumpy Jaw which will be extremely painful to them. So feeding them dog kibbles and such is not only bad for their health and diet but can cause Lumpy Jaw because it it hard. It is best to avoid the stuff if you cannot find it. It doesn't mean that the mix "tak jadi" because lack of one or two things. It can be modified accordingly. That's why we leave the mixing stuff to Hun. Haihhh, if you are not sure, then simply don't do it lah. Wait til you get a fridge and has a way to get Hun's mix, it would be so much easier and less hassle like this. Try and get in touch with tleilexu, he gets the mix from Hun, and he's in Malacca. KP |

STOP!!!
No more flaming! I'm waiting for Hun to settle this. Jon, CFP was refering to the fact that there is no mentioning about giving the dog food direct as glider food/staple diet. You do not need to prove you are right about that there are places that mentioned about dog food, furthermore saying that other ppl say that they feed dog kibble to their glider. Dog kibbles is just plain wrong, altho other ppl do it, we don't, because we only give the best. Hun where are you? KP |

QUOTE(cheaka @ May 23 2007, 11:46 AM) I have been away since Sunday..so my husband had been a great help in taking care of them... Haha, I'll be away this weekend, so nak tak nak, my husband also have to take care of my suggies Got back last night..noticed Gollum's tail was curled up...any one know the reason ah?......i tried to pull back..he curl it up back... As for Eowyn...i noticed some marking at her pouch??..is she bleeding....is she having her PMS ah?? Kindly advice. Curling tail is nothing lah I think, sometimes they do it, sometimes they don't. Mostly when they're sleeping or sitting still, it's curled up. As for Eowyn, I dunno. Better check carefully. But it's definitely not PMS, animals don't get PMS lah. KP |

Sangterap, I don't think gliders will be wiped out the face of the earth pretty soon. There's an article on Glider University recently saying that there's just too many breeders out there that they might even cause overpopulation of gliders that could lead to a lot of unwanted ones and such. That's why they advise to neuter the males if people intend to keep a male and a female. Some breeders in the US even, only sells neutered males to prevent them from breeding. Plus neutering the male can reduce the smell and baldspot. However I have not yet found any vet that could do it here. I am still searching because the best method would be thru using laser as it heals faster. But as you would know, a lot of typical malaysian is against neutering with the reason it's cruel. When I found a vet that can perform neutering on gliders, I will let everyone know, but I bet 9 out of 10 will be against it. Peace.
Jon, do you know at what age a glider reaches maturity and is ready to mate? Snow, it's called love bite actually Last night something bad happend to Luna KP |

QUOTE(JonYeap @ May 24 2007, 10:22 AM) Sexual Maturity: Gliders reach maturity at 7 months onwards.Females (8-12 months) Males (12-15 months) It is best to wait a year old if anyone has plan to breed them. Normally they breed 2 and max 3 times a year. Averaging 4 joey's per year by a female glider. It takes 16 days for the breeding day to the day the babies are born. Human around 9 months, glider 16 days nia. So fast... Is this correct? True, they breed only twice a year with a max of 2 joeys at a time (altho 3 can happen, but very rare) Yes, it takes only 16 days from the day they mate for the joey to be born in the, but we cannot see them or remove them from the pouch until they Out Of Pouch (OOP) I'm just asking this because whenever there's mentioned of male and female glider, you say will *ehem* or breed. Although breeding is natural to animals, we can't force them if they're not breeding right? And I don't think there's anything wrong as long as both are healthy
Sugre, suggie mating does sound like they're fighting, similar with little difference only KP Added on May 24, 2007, 11:27 am QUOTE(sangterap @ May 24 2007, 11:19 AM) Yup, got it That's why there's mention about unwanted ones which is the not so good ones lah. But if their urges are stronger than the gliders, would they actually consider quality? Haha, just something to ponder about, not to answer. I don't want this to ba a lengthy discussion pulak Anyhow, I'd support good quality breed anytime KP This post has been edited by krynzpeaches: May 24 2007, 11:27 AM |

I wouldn't say he likes to masuk inside baju, he just want to hide somewhere and sleep without me kacau him, hahaha
Normally he climbs inside my tudung, but mebbe cuz my shrug open a bit, so he masuk and yeah, now is settled into sleep Well, even tho Iggy sleeps most of the day, I still carry him around, to office, shopping, at home watch TV, so he's used to "sleeping walking", hahaha. KP |

Plastic sound makes Iggy go crazy too
No idea why, perhaps it's too loud for their ears?? But then how can Kiah don care? Other sounds he's okay, just sleep also... But I think if he's sleeping and got plastic sound, he just stir a little only... When I was at my neighbour's house with Iggy, he went under the couch and didn't want to come out when I was about to leave, so he left me no choice..... I took a plastic bag and crumpled it! He immediately ran out from under the couch and jumped onto me straight to my shoulder and sat still with bewildered eyes KP |

Hello everyone
What a long weekend. Went away for 2 days, left Iggy & Luna with my husband, was so worried Luna is really smelly compared to Iggy, can't use baby wipe yet cuz she still crabs like mad if I try to touch her in the pouch... Such a tough girl... She's okay with me feeding her, massaging from outside the pouch, even petting her if I push her head out from the pouch, but she won't let me put my hand in the pouch, crab like made and wanna strike a bite! The wodent wheel, Iggy dunno how to use, lazy bum. So gave it to Luna instead which she automatically loves to play with Oh Cheaka, chattering sound is made when a suggie is happy KP |

Haha, dun worry la CFP, sooner or later they'll know how to use it and will love it. I think they'll learn faster if you can hang it in the cage. My cage cannot, that's why. Furthermore Iggy is a climber, while Luna is crawler, and I have to place the wodent wheel at the bottom of the cage, so naturally, Luna will explore la

Research on how to introduce two gliders properly. Then if if there's anything that you do not understand, baru ask.
But introducing joeys should be easier and no problem. You can also read thru prev post in this thread, there might be discussions on stuff that you would want to know. I have also personally told you about the bonding first right? Do some research before asking basic questions. KP This post has been edited by krynzpeaches: May 31 2007, 10:13 AM |
