QUOTE(Sugre @ May 18 2007, 10:59 AM) Does their pee smell? I finds my critters pee quite smelly! When they pee on me I have to wash it immediately. Plus it only takes them a day to make their cage smelly again, after the cage was painstakingly washed and scrubbed down Has anyone tried doing tent time with their suggies yet? If yes..... where can I find a free standing tent that isn't too pricey? Yeah...male's pee smell ... definitely you want to wash it off as soon as they do that.... As for your cage to be smelly...if you have males...then no choice..you have to bare with it...as soon as you clean the cage...they will place their smell back to the cage as what they want...it is like marking their territory...therefore i give up sometimes..and just got use with it.....as i have 2 males in my cage...which means the smell is 2xtimes.... not too sure about tent time as i let my gliders roam around my living room.....

I am serious the smell is like.....don't know what to say...hahahha...because i have 2 males and 1 female...poor eowyn also smell like them a bit....hahhaa...
For me, i try to get those 100% natural anti-odor spray thing and spray at the bottom of the cage..as they hardly go at the bottom....it works for every 2 days only
Last time when i have small cage and with just gollum there....i use the woody pet as what reanne recommended...not bad...can last for 1 week....
I just bought Kaytee Timothy Hay at pet safari yesterday and it has a very nice smell..will try to put it this weekend and see whether it helps or not.....

QUOTE(kweekit @ May 20 2007, 05:29 PM) cute......anyways...yesterday was the first time i heard oreo and pringles bark...got like tempo wan...oreo bark then pringles will bark...anyways..their tail is still furless....hope there will be further progress in the future Yeah yeah...same to my glider...eowyn will bark then gollum bark back..then frodo bark.....from what i know..they are calling each other to check their location when it is dark.... i think it will take at least 1-2 weeks for the fur to grow back...after my gollum met eowyn..his bald part had become less bald .... but in about 2 weeks time only can see it growing back.....now very neat..... Added on May 20, 2007, 10:59 pmhun's mix is very good and tasty...my gollum used to be a picky eater now will drink the mix first once i put in the tray..... Okay.....heheh...got me worried for a while....Gollum old glider so have to pay more attention also....ahha.. My frodo was having diarrhoe problem on saturday. Got me worried like crazy as when I got home. The whole cage smell really bad then I realised frodo backside was very very dirty with his "thingy" sticking out. I quickly take him out and wipe it. Then realised his has had really bad diarrhoe. So I try to monitor him till late night. Then next morning. I cannot tahan. Took a small bowl of warm water with a warm face towel. Dip him in the bowl..and wash it throughly. His "thingy" still sticking out. But the thing is, although he is having all this..he is still very active...... Thanks to hun's advice. I got some sweet potato and pumpkin. boiled it up and feed him with it. He seems okay today...... ....

Hi all...sorry had been so busy that had not been able to catch up..anyway...while reading this..yup..I noticed that there's no control over small pets like this....I did checked with WWF Malaysia about the mass selling in adpost last time...the ones we saw with lots of adults for sale.... and this is the reply i get.. Thank you for your email.
Sugar Gliders are not protected/ enlisted as endangered at this point of time, but it may eventually be so if it continues to be in demand, as pets for example. It's actually difficult to identify between a wild & captive sugar glider. Even if it is captive, the adult males/females that have been originally obtained may not be captive, as it only breeds twice a year - as mentioned in one of the posts in the forum:But how are you going to get profit from an animal that can only breed twice a year? Easy, you just get lots of adult pairs and set up a sg factory.Breeders may need to obtain a lot of adults from the wild for this purpose. A dealer/breeder needs a license to prove that it's captive. Otherwise, when in doubt, do not purchase the sugar glider. As it is not protected, there are no laws stopping people from bringing them in. However, Indonesia issues a permit for all wildlife (wild or captive bred) exported, so, any Sugar Gliders that arrive from Indonesia into Malaysia without these permits should be considered illegal and should be reported to PERHILITAN.WWF-Malaysia works together with TRAFFIC, the wildlife trade monitoring network to ensure that trade in wild plants and animals is not a threat to the conservation of nature. However, we are NOT enforcement agencies. If you know of or suspect anyone illegally selling or trapping endangered species, or their products, please contact:Department of Wildlife and National Parks (PERHILITAN), KL
