I believe you need 1080ti and 1060 to do 110sol/s  tongue.gif
*
I have 1080 and 1060 running - that setup doesn't reach 800 sol/s.

btw DAG level increasing so lower memory models (with 4GB or less) will have reduced efficiency in mining.

I apologized for my bad calculations and claim of 1080ti and 1060 to do 1100sol/s.

To do 1100 sol/s we need 1080ti and 1070 based on this site http://zcashbenchmarks.info/

1080ti - 720 sol/s
1080 - 550 sol/s
1070 - 440 sol/s
1060 - 300sol/s

My bad  cry.gif
Benchmarks, submitted by users.

Those numbers are higher than stock.

Usually those are already

1. BIOS modded
2. Overclocked

I run 2x 1070 and 1x 1050 Ti now.

All on stock, gets about 800+ sols / s compared to my 1080 + 1060 rig doing 700 sols / s.

It seems more better than Hashflare and Genenis ni...
At 1.3kwh, you're running around 2 - 3 times a 1HP airconditioner running 24/7.

Doesn't matter which one - just saying that kind of wattage vs actual usage.

800W is like 1 - 2 airconditioners already too.

1700*3 -->5,100, power usage is about 360 watts ,Hashrate for Zcash is ~800sols
1080ti --> 4200, power usage is about 220, Hashrate for Zcash ~700sols

But if you have 3 cards right, 1 card fail at least 2 cards still running. smile.gif

Oh and about the figure, GTX 1060 6GB draws j ust about 100w, so it's actually around 300w only if you run 3 cards. Even less if you adjust the power target.

QUOTE(zamans98 @ Jul 2 2017, 12:37 AM)
1080ti resell value is higher in the future, assuming GPU mining is dead.
you choose?
Not really. 1060 being at the lower price point would be much easier to sell off.

1050,1050ti is useless. ETH can only score 9-11Mh/s, depending on manufacturer
RX560 can do 12Mh/s and modded can give u ~15Mh/s
But people will still want. smile.gif 1050 Ti lowest I got is 10Mh/s, highest reported 12Mh/s on stock with Zotac.

If I have Nvidia card I will go for ZCash, for the reasons you mentioned. LOL Mh/s not so good leh.

Guys have question

ASIC machine (Antminer) VS Gpu mining
Which is more profitable and why people is not using Antminer machine instead of GPU mining?
Because they work for different things?

Nowadays hot coins are Zcash and Ethereum, both are ASIC-resistant - how to use ASIC miner to mine? smile.gif

For those who are interested, here's what I get with my Nvidia cards

Zotac GTX 1080 Mini 160W 390 Sols/s
Galax GTX 1070 Katana 100W 350 Sols/s
Zotac GTX 1060 AMP 6GB 100W 275 Sols/s
ASUS GTX 1050 Ti Expedition 55W 228 Sols/s

*reading based on the Excavator CLI when doing Zcash mining*
**I'm going by the lowest reading seen. My GTX 1070 card is running at 100W confirm sure

How about you do some research first and let us know?

My latest daily payout is USD42.22 per day.
My total investment in the contract ( I top up every now and then) so far is USD7,020.
So my daily ROI is 0.6% per day.
Projected ROI is 167 days.
With the ups and downs in the price of bitcoin, I extimate realistically around 7 to 9 months. smile.gif
People talk Cryptomining here you come talk Cloud Mining.

Let's stick to the topic please.

Hi Guys,

Crypto currency Noob here K smile.gif, the Antminer L3+ mentioned abv, for USD6k, I know it's a dedicated miner (hope I got the word right), but what kind of returns are we  looking at? And since it's dedicated, what abt breakdowns, parts and RMA's? Wouldnt running off the shelf parts (NVidia/AMD) gpu's be safer, I mean assuming running say 4 gpu's, if one breaksdown, you can still run the other 3 while the faulty goes for rma? Plus its much cheaper than USD6k right? Or is the Antminer L3+ much more powerful than say running X4 Gtx1080ti's? I'm not running 4 Ti's, nor am I planning to,  just assumption and for comparison sake.
*
L3+ is for LTC.

You can't compare it to GPU based mining because they work with different coins.

Would you recommend the 8GB version of them for ETH mining?
For ETH i would go with 8GB model of AMD cards.

What research ?

I'm actually a gpu miner , the question above is from my friend . We are using nicehash calculator as A refrence , as we can see nicehash ROI is in 31 Days , Meanwhile 1080 ti 111Days .. (i'm mining using 1080 ti)

I do know about the GPU can minig many coins and others but why do we still keep mining gpu even the hashrate is slower than Antminer?

Refrence from nicehash comparing apple to apple

By following the refrence that i use from this graph and miner , The antminer is more profitable than 1080 ti
Sorry ah, you comparing Apple to Apple?

I thought you were asking about Mining BTC directly? This was your post.

QUOTE(AlcaGamerZ @ Jul 2 2017, 09:07 PM)

However the Antminer L3+ doesn't mine BTC. tongue.gif

Look at your screenshot, what does it mine? SCRYPT. What is SCRYPT for? LTC (Litecoin). BTC (Bitcoin) uses SHA-256.

And how is it Apple to Apple comparison when both are priced so differently?

Let me give you a better comparison.

-----------------------
ANTMiner S9 - 14Th/s - Price USD 3,000. Makes 330 USD worth of BTC a month.

6x RX 580 8GB - A little less than USD 3,000. Makes 601.08 USD worth of ETH a month, can be converted to BTC.
-----------------------

ANTMiner locally not available, you want to buy? Wait, let them ship. And warranty / breakdown? Straight KO, you have to send back.

Compare that to a 6 GPU setup, 1 card breakdown you still mine and all parts available locally.

Mining trend ends? OK sell them all off.

See the difference now?

And also why on earth are you comparing using GTX 1080 Ti? That's like putting the not-so-good GPU miner to the comparison. Price to performance ratio GTX 1080 Ti isn't as good as the lower end cards, which is why you don't see people flocking to buy GTX 1080 Ti.

Also you must note the problem with Nicehash is that it uses % here % there and it's hard to gauge.

See it better now why people don't use ASIC miners?

SUMMARY
- Using the right parts, you get better cost to profit ratio.
- GPU mining are using components readily available (off the shelf)
- Should anything happen to the unit, GPU mining setup's components are easily replaced and can move on / resume operation with ease, not so with expensive ASIC miners.
- ASIC miner is not readily available.

to be honest, i wanna get my hands on to mine some alt-coins, mostly to learn more on the rig building and support such movement. But god damn no supply at all, not even the 2nd or 3rd best mining card  ranting.gif  ranting.gif  ranting.gif  ranting.gif  ranting.gif  ranting.gif
Want coins go buy direct. Even with 6 of the highest end GPU on your rig that costs a car, you still won't get much coin after a month.

No ah, coming in at higher price. tongue.gif

But I was using RX 580 as an example because it's the best card, especially for ETH.

My RX 580 8GB should be coming in this week yay!
