Just received my ride a few days ago, TC-P Luna Silver. Have been driving around and enjoying it every minute. This my first Honda, I never drive a Honda before. Coming from an old school manual car (Alfa Romeo), Civic IMO is simply too hi tech. I am not used to the hand brake button and things like auto head lights. Gradually adapting to it.

As for performance and handling, so far so good. Have not push the car to the limit yet. At a later date, going hilly roads for a test. I find crossing roundabouts and overtaking no problemo. CVT isn't comparable to manual but it is not bad for an auto gear, quite smooth. Driving around town with moderate traffic short distance, up till now is about 9.3 km/l.

I think I make the right choice of buying TC-P, it looks better with the LED and GPS is immediately useful when the first time I driving back from the Honda showroom, since not familiar with that area.

I am having a problem with Garmin GPS unit. The GPS seems to be stuck at a position in the map. It is always Acquiring Satellites, the satellite icon keep on blinking. At times it is not responsive. I have try reboot HU a few times but does not solve problem entirely. Sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't.

For TCP owners, is this unusual ?
Is there another way to reset it ?

I am in Shah Alam, not many high rise here and not often go underground parking  . The car is tint with V Kool. I check with my iphone, google maps is OK. Stopping or moving, it is not locking. Funny, it was working when I was first driving back to Shah Alam from Seri Kembangan. I wonder if is faulty unit.

I am going to drive test with phone google map, let's see if any difference. Tint problem or other issue.

Anyone know anything about the evaporator or cooling coil?
Service personal say it is recommended to do every 10k. He include it since I did not do it during my last 10k.

I was refering to bro isr25 's 20k service list and found that mine have extra evaporator charged. Can't find any information here, so I thought I'd share.

everytime i start the car, it will be blank like this. Can be cancelled by pressing the info button on the steering

it happens after i updated my android auto on my phone, and connect it to my car. Since then it will always be like this.

If i use google maps from android auto, it is almost impossible to cancel it out by pressing the info button on the steering, coz it will keep on showing this after a few seconds

The evaporator is considered under additional/recommended. So next time when you guys go for service, rmb that it is optional.

Also, the person told me that my batch of civic have gearbox problem. It is covered under warranty, i need to send it to them and leave it overnight for 1 day to fix it.

problem is, it is somehow permanent on the car. It happens even if the phone is not connected

i tried downloading older version of android auto and connect to the car. It makes no difference

I asked him, he said it is not the engine start, he said civic turbo will have some louder noise during start up, the noise is normal. ( exactly what he told me last time when i send in during 1k service). He said this gear box issue is different. I asked is it about VSA, he claims not related to VSA .

I'll try talking to the service center manager and update you all when I get any extra information.

I know there is a grinding noise during engine ignition, he say that is normal for turbo.

mine grinding sound + whining sound when accelerate at D mode uphill 2800-3000rpm speed at 60-70kmh..i tot turbo kong but going downhill with engine braking at D mode also got whining sound

I just installed my old VS on my car...the throttle feels a bit 'rough'. The smoothness wasn't there. However the fuel consumption on the HUD showed a pretty damn higher than usual figure on the trip home...thoughts?

Anyone tried installing the new Waze Beta V4.26.0.903, saw that it supports Android Auto on APKMirror.

Does this work for Civic as well or crashing like the previous version?

So my 20k service is due next week, for 1.8 user, other than optional evaporator and cooling coil we need to note, what else is recommended to do at SC?

Should we remind them to check the battery health status as well?

Tested latest beta 4.27.00 release for Android Auto and i can confirmed it's working. But dash display direction is not accurate.

Envy Android Auto able to use Waze, maybe get a cheap Android phone just for Waze haha!

Guys, possible to mirror our phone thru wireless? Because im using fast charging on my note 5 , so if need to plugin the  normal usb port then to trigger android auto then i need sacrifice the fast charging le T_T
