QUOTE(prewin6 @ Jul 3 2017, 10:29 AM)
Guys, I'm a "new" owner of TC-P OPW. Would like to check on servicing schedule. I've done my 1k inspection back in May and currently my screen is showing Service Due every time I start the car now, my mileage is 6700km. Is this the turbo service or has my 10000k oil change arrived early? Appreciate you reply. Thank you.
*
QUOTE(prewin6 @ Jul 3 2017, 10:37 AM)
Thank you. Hence the turbo service will just follow the manual. Only engine oil we refer to the meter. Correct me if I'm wrong.

i just got my car about 2 weeks back and  odometer only around 800km, but oil life left 6k only.. it is normal? cos im a light footer, always in econ mode and dash meter shown in green band.

I also notice my my aligment tend to steer to left when steering in neutrel position.. it is normal for such a brand new car to have such problem? or some where else had defects?
*
Read Post #1, FAQ, under Why does my Warranty & Service Booklet for my 1.5TC/1.5TC-P has 2 sections, Required Maintenance Record and Lubrication Maintenance Record?

Also : https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...&#entry83411530

Odometer 800km, but oil life 6k only - either severe stop & go traffic, or lots of short trips in 1 day. Either way, try going for a far outstation trip at cruising speeds on the highway - oil life will recover back to almost, or back to 1:1.

Alignment steer to the left, not normal. Need to do alignment / balancing - go to SC soon for them to do it for free.

Also, make sure pump 32psi / 220kpa on your tyres when cold ya...

Edit:

Also added in How does the Maintenance Minder system work on the 1.5TC engines? coz getting too frequent questions on this... I blame the SA for not giving important information to the owners.

Same here, collect car since mid of June.. spoke to SC they said they need time to recitfy the rattling issue.. need to make another booking..

I had a few issues since.. water leaking into the car boot due to the seal around the rearlight wasn't install properly, luckily spotted the leaks on day 2 after car collection.

Another is the middle interior roof light. Doesn't goes off when I set the switch in the middle which suppose to goes off when u shut ur doors.. it doesn't and SC checked need to replace the light. Waiting for the report and parts to arrive..

doh.gif QC getting worse... Honda really needs to buck up. Maybe I should drop an email to the CEO on this QC issues faced by new owners...

My 1.5TC insurance is due end of this month and I have received renewal notice from Honda. Do you guys continue buying from Honda or look elsewhere for better deal? Considering 1 July starts the motor insurance liberalization. What will be the estimated sum insured for 1.5TC?
*
I renewed mine with Honda (25 June). Malas want to save a bit.

About the insurance policy liberalization - I seriously dunno man... So far, my wife's policy is also due on 28 July, but seems like they quoted the same method and calculation as per normal. It seems that the insurance companies also want to play it safe, and just use status quo method for now.

It's the same "liberalization" as petrol companies are free to give discounts - which you can see that exactly 0 companies actually give discount... Price war konon.

MSIG. So far, good. Insurance claim quite fast approvals etc.

They should increase their QC. Not just keep pushing their 100,000 target and ruin the quality... Within just a week after car collection so many issues..  rclxub.gif
its lucky that I was exploring the rear boot.. the water just pooled at the spare tire area.. cant imagine how it's gonna be if it wasn't taken care of.. sad.gif
*
True. Will email the CEO and give a link to this forum thread for him to read buyers feedback and issues faced smile.gif

accessories? is it optional?
*
Everything below additional coverage is optional. I put in accessories coverage for tint purpose. But can also be used to claim other accessories damages.

Accessories refers to what btw? This is for any items that does not come with factory? If like TC fit the LED headlamp, if got accessories will this be replaced with LED headlamp or the original one?
*
It is for any accessories - not sure if your vehicle is retrofitted with LED headlights, it could be covered - need to confirm this with insurance agent. But for Windscreen Tint, it is covered.

QUOTE(mytaffeta @ Jul 3 2017, 06:06 PM)
what is the special perils?
*
Additional optional insurance for flood and nature-related damages - Comprehensive insurance does not cover by default on "act-of-god" related damages which includes damages caused by flood, typhoon, hurricane, storm, tempest, volcanic eruption, earthquake, landslide, landslip, subsidence or sinking of the soil/earth or other convulsions of nature.

Need this special perils add on for car to be covered for the above damages.

Just tested my car.

Light switch in "Off" position
The interior light will always be off rolleyes.gif

Light switch in "Middle" position
1. The interior light comes on when the door opens
2. When you shut the door, the interior light slightly dims
3. The interior light shuts off in 13-15 seconds after all doors are closed
4. When you open the door, the interior light will immediately turn on
5. When you close and lock the door without the engine running, the interior light will immediately shut off
6. When the door unlocks, the interior light will immediately turn on

Light switch in "On" position
1. The interior light will always be on
2. When you lock the car without the engine running, the interior light will shut off in 3 seconds

Dunno if it's default on Civic, but on my Jazz GE with the old key, if I remove the key from my key slot, the lights will also turn on without opening doors.

So for those with keyless start button, does the light also turned on after you turn off the engine without opening any doors...?
*
Didn't test this, coz didn't even turn on the car tongue.gif maybe someone on the road can try this out - i'm sure some of you read /k while driving brows.gif

You need to remember a few things - your credit rating, your banking history, your net worth etc, all affects the rate that the bank can lend to you. I'm quite sure that some banks are willing to give very good interest rates to their private banking customers.

Hey, that's ridiculous man! seriously go bug your SA. I don't think he even recorded in the Honda Booking system at all.

-edit, lemme guess... Kah motor? If Kah Motor, the dealer is seriously F*cked up man! Really need to complaint to the Honda CEO.

-edit, confirmed Kah Motor Penang source. Seriously everyone, avoid this dealer like the plague! every single branch in Malaysia got this type of horror story. doh.gif

I booked mine frm kah motor penang. Booked end of march and my car ready in end of april. Btw mine is 1.8. I think all depends on the SA and not the branch.
*
Agreed, it's the SA - but somehow I often read about these cases from Kah Motor - can search the current & previous threads, and there would be quite a few.

For those who had a jailbroken iPhone, you download a tweak to run Waze using the Carplay, with all the touch interface to be working.

In fact, it allows all apps to work in CarPlay, I have tried Google Maps, YouTube ( Please do not watch video while driving ), Photos apps to be working as well.

This might be useful for those with jailbroken iPhone but envious with Android Auto Waze support smile.gif
*
I have an iPhone, but not jailbroken. Can you give some details? I'll properly reference you and your post of course smile.gif

Generally:
1. The less loan amount, the higher the interest.
2. The longer the loan tenure, the higher the interest.

Mine RM105K, 7 years, 2.53% (June 2016)

our civic viper size is 26" 18" right?
*
If you're thinking of changing wipers, I suggest not to do it. If your wiper is already starting to streak, just go to the Honda SC - or Honda Stockies - to change only the Wiper Rubber Insert. Very economical rather than having to change the whole blade every time.

For those who might not know, I actually did a loan & monthly repayment calculator on Google Docs posted in Post #2. I have just updated it with effective interest rate calculation as well.
