But Hondata improves Fuel Consumption and tune the car for RON97! my car still stock standard, except for tint and other small Honda accessories. Really malas wanna modify anything.

Yup, JB guy here. Not modifying at all. Quite a few of the Whatsapp CXC group members installed Hondata and Racechip though. Never heard about Unichip before, but I've seen the Viswoek Autolab at Permas iinm right?

I suggest to just use the Android Auto, and not use the Waze Beta. Unless you also wanna test new Waze Beta features la:

Been using RON97 due to EURO4M. RON95 is EURO2M. The car is EURO4 compliant. Never used RON95 before, but the car is actually rated to use RON92 iinm.

No worries in engine knocking due to RON92 minimum, but I choose to fill in RON97 due to fuel cleanliness and friendliness to the environment. Read more at the first page for more info.

Really? Where? Been going to Yong Ming due to close proximity but needed to book 1 month in advance.

1. Loud grinding noise due to CVT. need to change transmission, but apparently no effect on durability on transmission. Just noisy. A bit hard to request to change warranty.
2. Noise is due to VSA modulator. Need to update VSA firmware. Worst case, change VSA modulator.

To anybody using Android Auto - might be specific to my phone - and having problems in making / receiving calls not properly popping up / showing on the Android Auto Call Card Screen - I have an answer for you on how to resolve this:

Problem:
1. Android Auto on Civic - calls need to be answered on the phone itself, or showing up on the Civic speedo screen, not on Android Auto.
2. While on a call, you can't see the Android Auto Call Card Screen.

Solution:
1. Unplug the phone cable but stay connected to the Bluetooth.
2. Called my phone from another phone and the call came through on the Honda Civic system with the options to accept or reject. Do not accept or reject yet.
3. Connect the phone cable, which brought me to the Call Card Screen on Android Auto. Accept the call on Android Auto by pressing on the pop-up/accept call button.
4. Hang up the call using Android Auto. Try to call your phone again while on Android Auto to test.

You might need to answer the call first before plugging the phone in at step 3. It fixed my problem and my Android Auto works perfectly now

No. It's all under warranty. On firmware, not sure if there is an update - maybe we should share the firmware version

Heard about the Xiaomi nightmare. From what I read, you need to use the Xiaomi.Eu firmware for it to be fully compatible.

Just saw on FB - someone saying that his TC Civic oil life is only 3500++km, the lowestI've ever heard. Mileage now is at 6800km and the service due soon (1500km oil life left) has popped up.

Apparently he leaves his car running while not moving often - Don't do this ya friends you're wasting fuel and money changing engine oil.

Simple answer is Civic is much much lighter than the S80, so it feels more nimble. Since the engine is more powerful on the S80, it'll destroy the Civic on the highway

The 0w-20 is good enough already, unless you want to rev to the limit 80% of the time, than you need 0w-30 for extra protection.

No la. You can't really feel the difference - I'm guessing it's more of placebo effect, rather than actual noticeable gains. It's a waste of perfectly usable engine oil.

Quite a number of members actually change it to leather seats - just make sure it's from a reputable installer to ensure the airbags can safely deploy in case of an accident. Wouldn't want those side airbags to deploy from your back

And their top end RS Turbo CVT gets so much more accessories at a lower price of RM122k

To be honest, only the LED headlights is the main reason why I took the TC-P. The rest are just nice to have. But since I have dual aircond, I put the temperature on passenger side differently then mine while I drive alone - just to use the feature I only used the Garmin navigation one in my 1Y+ ownership but I do know the feature is there if I ever need to use it.

One thing about the Garmin though - it records every single drive you make for the past 2 weeks iinm (navigation, apps, where i've been)

One other thing - for those who just received the car, what firmware is your HU? Mine is (info, system/device information, system info) Applications: Ver.1.F187.14

If it's a later version, do let us know so that we can request to upgrade the HU firmware when we send our car for service.

The aerial is printed at the rear screen, just above the rear demister lines. I had a similar problem wih my old car (Honda City GD8) and it was because they improperly connected the rear aerial cables. Just tell the SC and they'll fix it right up.

2 different things:
Hyundai Ioniq HU - really just a tablet where we install apps directly on it. No Android Auto / Apple CarPlay support.
Honda Civic/CRV HU - just a UI interface. We need to use a phone for Android Auto / Apple CarPlay for use with the vehicle. We don't install apps directly on the HU.

You can see a lot of people complaint on the Ioniq HU where HSDM replaced the unit with a lower end version. The Hyundai Elantra is the same as our HU, with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay support - HU is Android version 4 too iinm.

Must be some bug fixes or stability improvement at the very least. There is a school of thought that "If it ain't broke, don't fix it", as the upgrade might mess up things that didn't have any problems in the first place. So it's up to the owner to upgrade or not.

Engine grinding (technically it's CVT Pressure Control Valve vibrating), you need to turn off your car for at least 30-45 minutes after driving around for it to appear. Not turn off and on again in quick succession. Did they reset your VSA modulator? And next time you don't mention forum laaa... Just say your friend went to another SC with the same problem and they updated the VSA modulator firmware.

DTC means Diagnostic Trouble Code.

9800km when picking up your car after servicing? They idled your car for a long time I guess?
