Is it just me or is it that most servers are empty? spent 30 mins trying to find a server and i just gave up.. it's either empty or full... .. and those not full, pula high ping.

The leaderboard has nearly 40,000 people. Thats hell of a lot for a multiplayer game especially for one that has just been released. As for server performance they are looking into it and working on a fix for some rare disconnects etc(server side). Ping is generally decent, there is definetely good ping server. Not forgetting there is a scheduled maintenance today so servers will be down for a few hours tops.

I have always had servers i could join with acceptable performance.

yeah, didn't know so fast theres ppl selling 2nd hand. Already paid, nvm.

btw, does WIC have LAN support?

huhu. WiC works ok on my HD2600XT but not on my 8600GT - DAMN! i want to run it on the faster card la!

Meant to be played on nVidia but end up crashing on it.

WiC does have multiplayer over a LAN altough i don't think i will try it. The load on the server side is heavier and will require a powerful rig with pretty fast connections. I have been trying to get a VPN together to work as a LAN but i cant seem to get it working....Im not sure what im doing wrong, i have never used Hamachi before...anyway Im pretty busy this week and probably will have to delay my LAN experiment with WiC.

I got this very interesting picture story of an online battle i had like just a few hours ago. It was so cool i thought i would like to share it with everyone. I got tanks ranked to General for the first time! :clap:Has some pretty good tips for Armour players i think. Pictures are in the spoiler.


I joined this domination map called Island. Its not a map i like since well it looks quite gloomy(hey Im a cheerful guy ) and its actually a difficult map since everyone start around this island and the points are mostly in the center on top the hill. Rough path to the CP's on the hill with heavily wooded areas. Not tank friendly country.



My strategy was to rush for the Marina which is on the west of the island and hold the Marina and essentially block the Americans ( I play the Soviets of course! ) path to the hill on the western side.


I dropped 3 light tanks 1 heavy and 1 medium...the 2 light tanks to take each CP in the marina while the heavy and medium gives some ground support(at lest that was the plan)


I was too late! Those bloody Americans have reach the northern CP of the Marina! They came with a bigger force then mine so my squad that loaded out with light tanks was underpowered....I retreated...Only one light tank survived!.


This time i brought in the big guns!Heavy tanks two of them reinforced with my light tank...well what to do that fella survived right so have to go back into battle.


My AA from my team mate saved my ass!!! Unfortunately my light tank got destroyed...brave fella!


Finally we did it...managed to push them back and take the Marina!!!


A well placed tank buster to repel a counter attack...


The American Heavy tanks get flanked by my heavies from everyside...if you look closer you can see three soviets tanks surrounding the Americans...obviously he gonna get owned...He doesn't retreat...


Well he gets what he deserves...Flanking works...LOL Really guys...if you cant win the battle retreat...


which i did shortly after that when a bigger force counter attacked...now this is a manuever every tank commander should have in their reflects like breathing...LOL The retreat and Tank buster TA...while retreating i place a Tank Buster just slightly behind my units so the chasing Americans (with their arrogance thinkin we are retreating adn push on) will move in conveniently in the strike zone! Also not that i use smoke on one units only as the smoke can cover two or even more units so as you retreat you pop smoke from tank 1 then slighy back pop smoke from tank 2 so this give you continuous cover as you retreat.

Well what did i tell you!!!Perfect strike! stoopid Americans!!!


I got two of my Heavies to General Huurah!!! They really kick ass!


Only to have that stupid Apaches take one out!!!


While the other General heavy tank saw this coming down...this strange thing with parachute!!!Well we all know this wont go down well...


BOOM! Im still recovering from it... .... Got slight double vision for a while!! LOL


The American counter attack pushed harder this time moving into the middle of the Marina...I desperately called a heavy artilerry strike on a position that was still under our control...but it would have definetely fallen either way since there was no defending unit.


That art strike weken them and i move one tank forward only to be outnumbered...so i had to retreat...always retreat if outnumbered or you know you cant win...


YIPEE!!!! Im was really raining down on the tank busters today!!!LOL


So the enemies tried to go the other way...a team mate had a nasty surprise...In the form of a carpet bomb...BOOM!


Not a bad match...Very exciting!!!Had tons of fun in this battle!I was grinning and laughing a lot A lot of big fireworks!!! Altough no big nuke!!!Its just proves this game is more than just trying to nuke your opponent...

guys, theres one time i was playing the demo online, somehow if my eyes are not fooling me, a bunch of russian transport helis flying around shooting anti-tank missiles, i'm pretty sure its the trasport heli logo and it owned tanks of my teammates, but i thought transport helis are unarmed???

There are. In the full version only heavy attack chopper are armed with anti-tank missles, the special ability of the US heavy attack chopper is the Hellfire Missile while the NATO and Soviets counterpart launches the HOT and AT-6 Spiral respectively.

the more i play the more i find nuclear is a waste of points. The main reason for me to use nuclear was just to show off and maybe block the main path of the enemy thats all....80 points gone....what do u guys think?
