high HR doesn't mean he can be a good player
saw many HR100+ player being the first one carted, and few times they're the one who failed the mission laugh.gif doh.gif

HR doesn't mean anything if he came into the fight poorly equipped

IMO, if you're still experimenting with new weapon/armor, don't go join other ppl SOS, especially those very hard to join elder investigation, buat kacau only tongue.gif

R3 is the only one with optional Chinese text

digital copies depends on which store you bought from, MY PSN will be the R3 version

why not use Ebony & Ivory as LBG? I don't mind a LBG with normal ammo but with rapid fire and a very large clip wink.gif

It's a walk in the park killing those tempered elders
but when came to tempered black Diablo and tempered Uragaan
I find most of my sos team mates having difficulty completing it without any carts
most of the time ended up failing the quest sweat.gif

monster running away is small issue, the most annoying part is when some of them decided to crash the party to have a monster orgy when you're soloing a weaker one

it's fun at the beginning

but it ain't fun anymore when they come & kacau you for the n-time, and you don't have the luxury to entertain them when you just wanna complete the quest as fast as possible.

you'll only see skull when you've fully researched it

usual indication of monster health is the dragon pods/scatter pod/whatever pod they dropped
1st drop is usually at 50% health
2nd drop is at 25% health, that's the capture threshold, but not 100% for successful catch
skull is almost 100% successful catch

of cos, Xeno is an exception, it's dropping those pod everywhere sweat.gif

it's attacks are very predictable after you fought it a few times
bring a lighting & vitality mantles will help a lot

or just make a uragaan armor set + weapon with blocking, can block whatever shit it's throwing at you tongue.gif

please guard yourself with your gunlance.

You need one Shield Jewel and 5 Iron wall Jewels, or use Uragaan amor set if you don't have shield jewel. Shield Jewel just has one level for your Guard Up skill and you need Ironwall Jewel to boost your Guard skill up to lv5 max. You also can equip an Ironside Charm III to save up your jewel slots up to 3 pcs.

You does not need any thunder resist armors because you are considered as God Mode during you guard yourself in defense mode. Make sure you must keep press R2 to guard yourself for protection against the thunder.

Don't dodge the thunder during you attack the tempered kirin, just keep pressing R2 and triangle together when you get chances to hit its head. Stop to hit its head during it's releasing thunder attack.

was tired of getting one shot by nergi dive, and kirin zap, created it last week, now I just stand there & R2 whenever Nergi dive while my teammate scrambling away tongue.gif Not a scratch! tongue.gif
but wasn't very good against those flying wyvern like Rathalos & Rathian without spamming flash

Thinking of trying "Fly! you fool!" weapon next

jholow is very very very annoying to hunt solo
super long health, likes to play bowling, and keep running everywhere doh.gif

it's easier & fun to hunt in a team

IINM, jholo is the only one that can gave you defense down
kena 1hit KO, while my usual defense should be able to withstand that hit

OMG tempered Jho is a very different beast altogether!

I guess Capcom heard majority complaining the HR Jho is waaay to easy, and dial the difficulty to the max on the tempered version, and sit back with a bucket of popcorns laugh.gif

whoever used pitfall trap on Jho, don't stand in front of him
he still can dragonbreath while trapped and one shot anyone not strong enough
we learn it the hard way doh.gif
