Finally unlocked my HR and I'm now at HR49.
The double Bazel was difficult. Carted once. Got one shoted from 100+ Hp.

Next is tempered Kirin. Gotta stock up on lightning resist.

By the way, how do we unlock armor/weapon augmentation ?

And thanks to Sawz for helping me last night against the regular HR Kirin. Sorry n00b here in multiplayer. Accidentally interrupted your attack when it was sleeping.

You need to kill a tempered elder and get a hero or warrior streamstone then it will be unlock. The drop rate is random though but higher chances on tempered elder. Since there is event going on I suggest you kill tempered kirin then do the Tracking the Delivery for tempered elder tracks, do this a few times and you should unlock some. You can do threat lvl 2 tempered as well but the rate is lower. I grinding my hero/warrior streamstone by farming tempered Vaal Hazak over and over.

Yeay! I've just unlocked the 'Augment Equipment' at the Smithy. Just in time before going out. Hehe! HR64 at the moment.

Addendum: Anyone augmented Zorah Magdaros full set armour? Is it good? Seriously thinking of getting mine augmented. Nergigante full set is fugly.

Just make sure it's the armor that you will wear for endgame coz augment armor is quite expensive. But you should augment weapon first though and just upgrade armor to max before you use augment to unlock it. I am using partial Nergi set, well at least chest piece is bikini lol.

Vaal hazak set is great. Only have one teeny tiny little bit of weakness, fire. As almost all enemy in the game use fire.

Trivia, with 14 fire resist and 200 hp, you can survive 3 bagel bomb back to back. With negative 14, only 1 1/2.

good to see the community growing and loving the game.

personally for me I dont care much on the stats of the armor and the weapon. 90% of the time I used by Soul Rathalos set and the Rathalos Glinsword to wallop those innocent monsters. But the armor set all got the Dragon Resist gem and the sword is with dragon damage. pure damage right there.

Is that why everyone is using Vaal Hazak because it has more slots?
I am using Legiana Mail, Helm and some other mixture for a more defensive, evasive build. Can i augment HP Regen onto them later? The reason why i use this choice is because.... I love the design damn damn much. I love Legiana weapons & armors, they look amazing.

try Damascus some piece are good , for me i like guild cross

You can build an immortal set with Vaal Hazak, of course some jewels are needed as well. But your armor should complement your playstyle though and have the skill to boost the weapon of your choice.
Augment for armor only unlock it for upgrading once you have max it.
Augment for weapon you can add HP regen, I did it for my Dual Blades.

showing on weapon that is percentage can be get critical, not on damage. however got another one skill Critical Boost leve1 - 1.3; level 2 - 1.35; level 3 - 1.4 critical damage.

My play style is as long as I don't get carted I can roll with it. LOL!
Honestly immortal pieces are something i aim for, but I like legiana...........urgh.. Will think about it. haha!

That the only problem with it. other than that, no weakness

vaal hazak set B... many deco slot (LVL 1 slot) can slot in def, element def deco & vitality deco (basic deco is enough). with this you tank enough d
max the rank of armor, fully upgrade it easily can get ur def to 450+

Regarding the weakness fire. you can just use the fire proof mantle to cover it if you fight Fire monster

I have played 300+ hours and only use vaal hazak armor... can tank alot of attack

unless teostra only... I have the change to other EQ. Grrrr... Fire element

My HR is currently at 29.

My current weapon is Xeno Shmaena (Insect Glaive) and just obtained Vaan Hazak B armor.

Question is, is this the strongest Insect Glaive weapon among all?

nope. get the nergigante tree... much more stronger and High attack

They say the diablos one is pretty good as well.
Esp with sharpness plus and elementless deco.

I'm currently using nergigante IG. Might want to try out the diablos one later.

Finally defeated tempered Kirin. Took me 3 tries.
Had to Use thunder resist gem and play very defensively.
Stun > KO
Or just outright OHKO me without proper resistance.

Finally unlocked augmenting as well.

I always thought Rathalos Glinsword was Fire element GS...no?
