Last night news - he dumped as much doge meme coins from his wallet by swapping it for ETH and he moved his ETH to another wallet.

He would have dumped more but not enough liquidity. Some he just donated to charity like the Indian covid fund.

Being green will become more important for marketing a crypto.

Cardano already uses proof of stake, I think that's why ADA hasn't dropped much. Ethereum will transition to POS soon too. Being ecologically unfriendly is going to be a sticking point against Bitcoin forever if it doesn't change, and I think it's dominance will continue to erode.

Smart contracts should be coming soon with the Alonzo update.

Right now it's a race to see if ETH gets to PoS before Cardano gets to DeFi.

BSC/BNB technically supports both already but the network is centralized on 20+ computers and recently they couldn't handle the traffic.

DOT is really more a sidechain than a direct competitor with ADA or ETH.
It makes it easy to create your own blockchain, or to link with other chains, but there's no popular DeFi or token swap app for DOT.

Yes, Gavin Wood also said DOT is not an Ethereum killer. They can coexist, because their specialties are pretty different.

About copying features, they share some ideas but right now I think ETH has more working DeFi features.

Yeah future is unpredictable, but I highly doubt DOT will kill ETH.
Unless ETH 2 PoS is an utter failure and every swap/token migrates to a DOT parachain (which still has bugs).

This is good for ETH, since MATIC is used mainly for Ethereum.

Yes it's hard to say, that's why until DOT can beat ADA and BSC, saying it will kill Ethereum is still too early.
