I don't know short term. Long term I am bullish on Ether because of the future POS and supply reduction updates. I agree with most of what is in this Reddit post. However I also have PTSD from 2017/2018 so I keep expecting everything to crash in the short term too.

BTC dominance 46%. Quite low now. Alts especially ETH gaining well.

Glad I didn't sell any of my Bitcoin even when it dropped to 46k.

Value preservation is a good enough reason for a lot of people.
I don't plan to add any new Bitcoin, only alts (especially ETH).
But I won't sell any of my existing Bitcoin stack until many years from now.

My personal experience: in terms of profit, I would have made a lot more if I had just hodl instead of trying to time the market.

For newcomers entering the market now, it is harder to hodl. If they had bought BTC at $64k, they would be panicking still.
During current dip, a few forumers predicted BTC would go below 40k, and crypto marketcap would be wiped out by 50%.
The preferable time to buy is when prices are red, not when everything is ATH green.

It's just the percentage change in price since the day before at that time.

I recall when ETH hit $2000, it quickly retraced and went all the way back down to $1400.

If ETH goes back down to $2400 I'm gonna buy the shit out of it.

Long term can't go wrong with either. Although ETH is my largest hodling, I haven't sold any of my BTC.

As ETH grows, I believe ETH-related crypto like UNI, MATIC and MKR will also get gains.

The mechanics sounds almost exactly like SafeMoon.

FOMO season for ETH.
It's hard to afford 1 Bitcoin but 1 ETH is still a lot easier.
And a few people expect ETH to flip BTC in market cap one day.
