QUOTE(SwarmTroll @ May 8 2021, 01:19 PM) Is there a difference if I buy a coin using USDt or BTC? If I am transferring over BTC to Binance and want to buy a coin, it's better if I just buy using BTC rather than selling BTC to USDt then buying the coin no? A lot of people prefer to buy USDT for trading because it's more stable. The price won't change much while you transfer or browse coins to buy. Whereas BTC can rise or fall $500 during the same time. |

Nice ETH pump today, although gas fees also increasing by 3x
QUOTE(lowya @ May 9 2021, 12:18 AM) Apparently they are. ETC going up again, although still down by a lot from ATH a few days ago. This post has been edited by Amaru: May 9 2021, 04:11 AM |

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ May 10 2021, 01:23 PM) But isnt ETC just a useless coin since it does not have any project under it? Many are interested solely on the basic being the only ETH clone, drawing comparison to BCH. Other than this, is ETC worth anything? Not to mention the multiple hacks. Although ETC is definitely not as secure (already 51% attacked 3 times), a lot of people are expecting current ETH miners to recycle their ASIC miners for ETC when ETH 2.0 switches from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake.QUOTE(andrekua2 @ May 10 2021, 01:35 PM) Judging by this, I want to ask your opinion on ETH then. Many said ETH will match BTC market cap soon but what happens when ETH 2.0?? Dump? Nobody knows if it will dump, but I don't think so. Because by then ETH should have higher demand (because of better, faster, newer features) and deflationary supply (thanks to EIP-1559). |

QUOTE(Eithanius @ May 10 2021, 02:28 PM) Miners will dump… ETH may rise or fall who knows… but if 2.0 screws up, the big bucks go to ADA and DOT… Yeah I'm primarily an Ethereum fan, but I also own BNB, ADA and DOT. Basically I'm betting on DeFi coins.Make sure you diversify… If ETH 2 doesn't have cheap gas fees, BNB will be the big winner because BSC is 99% compatible with ETH tokens/contracts. QUOTE(lowya @ May 10 2021, 03:56 PM) did u convert all your USDT to ETH, and buy BNB/ETH, ADA/ETH, and DOT/ETH pairs? My primary trading pairs use USDT, yes.which DeFi you are looking at, and how did u come to the decision to buy that particular DeFi? on gas fee too? I have been buying small amounts of ETH since $300. DOT and ADA are more recent purchases for me. |

QUOTE(GalaxyV @ May 10 2021, 07:01 PM) guys, beware of Hong Leong Bank. Hope not a scam. Some bank employee sell customer info to scammers. My friend received a call from Hon Leong Bank claiming that his account received withdrawals from Luno totaling RM30,000 and he did not declare this income to Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri and they are going to freeze his bank account with that reason. --- Somemore, the RM30k transactions were received this year and if it is going to declare, it is next year's story and not this year. Anyway to complain this issue about HLB to BNM? But if not, better next time to withdraw in smaller amounts. Although 30k isn't really that large amount to be flagged. Maybe they are monitoring funds that flow out of Luno. |

Yup ETH dropped to $3700 then bounced back.
I think a lot of people converting into SHIB on Binance, may have caused the flash crash. |

So I am not familiar with LUNA. Reading the site online it seems it's trying to do what REQ attempted in 2017-2018, but using pegged stablecoins. Sounds interesting, hope it succeeds where REQ failed.
