I think every swiftlet bloggers are doing their best jobs here. I think they are better than some of the consultants who are advertising their expertise in the web. With these consultants, it is always "no money no talk". At least from blogs, we are able to learn new things everyday, and best of all free of charge. But seeseng is also right, we don't have to believe in everything we read, just analyse and decide the best for ourself.

About thie Kelvinheng of Pearlnest......... I have read alot about the problems faced by innocent peoples doing business with him. I think most on this forum and other similar forum knows who he is..... but I think our friend at Bt Aman would very particularly wants to know more about him and his business... so everybody, watch out for him at the meantime.

i agree with u, swiftlet lim. wht i not happy with mr H.... is he knw the Pak Hen not come to malaysia in the seminar, some more Pak Hen already informed him a few month ago bt he still x let us knw and still advertise in his blog. Soud like.........
n he said he give a free talk in GAHP, bt the organiser told me he charges his pay per every head.

I do not know what are you up to? Have you ever got stung by Harry b4? If,yes,then go and settle the problem with him quietly.Dont do it here! If not,then why? Are you jealous of him or you have a certain hidden intention? This is child play,man,do it at home,not here. Be an adult,if you are!

This is a very good blog where everybody are welcome to share their knowledge and experiences.Everybody is entitled to his own opinion and no one is being forced to accept 100%.If you dont agree and prepare to share what you think is correct and right,or have a better idea,then do it with sincerity and let everyone judge it himself and you will be appreciated like Harry.Dont get personal and behave like kid.Pesent your case in a gentleman way like many others here.

I have been enjoying myself with Harry's blog as well as others' and I find him very sincere and selfishless in sharing what he knows. His blog is very and more informatic than many other similar blogs for the time being and I believe,at least,I myself have benefited alot from it for free.Of course,it is not neccessary that I would agree 100% of what he wrote.To me,he is very impartial in his opinions.It is up to individual to use his head rather than ass to absorb.After all,you dont pay him anything.Do you?So,dont spoilt the fun,please!

As to the Pak Hen matter,I guess it is either Harry was too busy and delayed to inform of Pak Hen's unable to make it yet or he was still trying to coerse Pak Hen.I dont think anybody would mind.It was good for someone to highlight it if with sincerity but it is still not justified for a matured adult to maliciouly accuse him a'cheat' over such trivial matter.Whats other wrongs he has done to this blog so far?It gives many readers here the impression that this someone is with personal vendatta or hidden agenda.

As to the GAHP seminars,I personally think that the organiser is smart and wise enough to invite Harry to be a speaker.From feed backs received from friends who attended,they rated him to be the best speaker.He seemed to be the crowd puller and many attended the seminars simply because of him.Few other friends and myself are intending to enrol ourselves for the the seminar if Harry is still a speaker.Whether he got paid or not is none of our business.

Dont get jealous.I believe since you could accuse other a cheat,that means you should be much better and knowledgable than Harry,can you please disclose your blog to share with us? Also,since you claimed you know the organisers,why dont you offer to be a speaker and see if the organiser would take you?

I strongly believe that most readers here do enjoy and appreciate good articles,opinions,ideas etc posted here.Please dont turn it into a personal battle ground and upset our stomachs.

Really, I don't even know who Pak Hen or do I get his name correct?
I don;t like to read malay so I normally avoid reading malay site.........but then I find Harry blog nice to read, right or wrong that you need to check it out. Remember, I don't Harry either but may I like to meet him one day and discuss about the birds and the nest and not bees.

Mr. Harry did let you know that if you don't like his blog, you need not view and that he's right but then, at open public blog, you asked to be read.

Readers, pls. be fair, we should comments faily on any blog but never criticize the writer for he was just writing what he think are correct but maybe wrong so you don't follow blindly fo you are not blind.

Readers, to bring them to the attention of other BHs friends are good intention but must be good intention without hidden motive.

Did you pay him for consultation? Did he charge you rm5k per consultancy or more? Did you buy [anything from him that are more expensive?

[I guess most of us want to know...u should tell us all!

I see no harm of charging rm5k or 20k or even 50k, this is between you and him. It is an offer and acceptance.
If you think his skill is worth that much that is your perception not his. He never claim that he is an expert. It is your perception. Whether he gets pay or not at GAHP this is his problem and those who attended the seminar. Not your problem.

By the way did you attend the GAHP?

Try go to work tomorrow and tell your boss "from today onwards I don't want my salary. I just work for free.I pay for my own petrol n everything but I still work for you" if you could do that then Harry shouldn't charge.

Or if you are in Business tell all your clients that your goods n services is free, ask them not to make payment.Then
Harry shouldn't charge too.

Why consultants can charge 100 over K and 3 years later you get 2 Lampars And most don't complain? When bloggers giving out free info and pictures daily , when they charge lower than consultant most are making noise? Isn't this the CHIcKEN & SOYA SAUCE syndrome.

How to be successfull if most have this type of mentality. That is why 90% failed rate still prevail.

Let me tell u one of my experiences :

I met a Newbiess who had attended almost all seminars (easily 8 seminars) which available in the Malaysia. After that he engaged a joker C... for 150k to set up his farm.2 years later his farm got 1 nest only half cup.

So he ask my advise for turning around his farm. I went to his farm. A truly disastorus one. 3200sft only has two 3" ventilation holes.I advised him that his farm needs lots of wall hacking it was a total tear down rebuild again. The flying path was obstructed,the entrace hole has to be placed in other place, rewiring of sound system etc. These need money and you know what he expected all these for free. I told him you pay for the construction material n Indon workers, total cost estimated 6-8K that all. On my side Foc.So anyway he didn't ask me to undertake the job probably he was thinking "good things no cheap, cheap things no good". I was lucky not to be given the task.

That is not all , 6 months later he called me again. At least he is sincere enough to tell me he went back to the same Joker C...to turn around the farm.The same Joker C... charged him again 25k this time.And six months later he got quarter cup. The 1/2 cup cracked and became 1/4 cup.

I asked him any of the walls were hacked he says no the were no hacking the Joker c... came in and put few bags of shit that all.

So you see , I guess Harry is charging too cheap that is why TMS is compalining!

So don't blamed others for charging. It is you who made the decision no one is forcing you.

Let Harry charges whatever he wants nobody is forcing you to accept his offer. I guess Hary is being a scape goat for all your stupid decision that is why you are so piss of at him.

The mentality of most is that "It is ok to pay 100 over k to joker C...but someone like Harry to charges Rm5 k he should be sent to gallow!

Come, give me some good answers to my questions? I am always frank and straight forward and could care less if I step on any one toe giving the right comments.

1. Paying for service is often required although I never being paid for any of my services but do receive commission for recommending consultant. Then, a Rm50K consultation fee doesn't mean you will be getting better services and more nest than a Rm5K consultant. A Rm50K C can demand more because he has good track records or that he really can talk well.
Either ways, you are the judge and if you make the wrong decision, you are to be blamed ...........


The blog here is about Swiftlet farming and many have gone rather too far and throwing bird shit at each other, bad for the blog.

Consultants are good because even the most experiance rancher need one because one sometime overlook the reason for the failure. Even PH or H may fail in their BHs but then if they have another consultant by his side, that C may point out the mistakes overlook. We can't see our own mistakes but other can. No one can build a perfect BH for we are not birds nor think like birds. We only can act like one.

I often passed comments and pointing at other BHs mistakes but then what about mine. How much to pay for one, he demand and you decide and if you want FOC consultation, ask in the blog and you get them free....

I believe they r meant for breeding at locations where there r currently no AFs. dun desroy ur own rice bowl. remember the brits destroyed the brazillian rubber industry by bringing 22 rubber seedlings to malaya, they almost did that to brazilian coffee as well. they also damaged china's tea industry by smuggling tea seedlings & chinese tea planters to india, likewise china's sericulture (silk industry) was also damaged. oil palm is not native to malaysia, yet now malaysia is world leading exporter of palm oil.

Never buy and Sell swiftlet eggs, Fellow BHs owners !!!!! you don't need the extra ringgit by selling Bird Eggs. If you want to sell eggs, sell duck eggs or chicken eggs. We, Swiftlets ranchers are protectors of swiftlets....we protect them from harm and we harvest the nest. Fair deal. Never harm the hand that feed..... that's my opinion.

7 years ago before I started Swiftlets farming, I was curios about the industry and happened to have a far relative doing Swiftlet ranching in Indo. Phone him up and he was most willing to help me but another far relative came to know about what I was going to start, phone me to refrain me from doing it.

His argument was that those who are in this trade do have good life and bad omen may pass to the next generation. He asked me to go to Indo to have a look at those families involve in BHs.

Now, after into the trade for so many years, I understand why.
In Indo, they harvest irrespectively of whether with eggs or babies. If the nests are big enough, they are harvested. We became killer of life and worse of those who kill the hands that feed. I was never of that type and that's why I am blessed with thousands of birds. I let them multiply and multiply. Forget the consultants that tell you that white nest fetch better price and that half cup is better than quarter cup. Thousand quarter cups is better than hundred half cups. Let the swiftlets multiple and soon you have result that you never have imagine. But the most importance of all, it is good for your soul and God bless you for that.

This is the truth that if you allow the swiftlets to breed and not being selfish,
you will see your BH improve very fast. Once, a consultant told me to harvest nest irrespective of eggs or chicks for that most of the new birds aren't your's anyway. Just think, if everyone do the same, where come the new birds. Do you really think that GOD create birds, too. No, GOD create our hearts. Even if I lose 70% of the new birds, I still have an increment of 30% new birds. Then, if other BHs did the same, I may end up having more than 100% increment in new Birds in every 4 months cycle; more from other BHs.

But....but If all follow that consultant's advice and what's balance 0 new bird to be share.

Sam Gan, u can check the post b4, he is selling the equip.

if he is good n 'yau liu', 50k also no a problem, bt he only knw the basic.

About Mr H, will basically... iam blurr....why he said like that ....i did even know him... i remember he called me last three weeks ....to organise a seminar for seremban...and charge rm 50.(to help out the complaint)

I did not want to do it coz...seremban folks already given rm 300 each to kau tim the council...where it is unreasonable to charge again...

Honestly speaking..... consultatnt are doing their part providing their past knowledge and experience...
